I will stay here again. The place is well maintained, with helpful staff, free and secure parking. This is a budget hotel with only basic amenities. Don't expect the Intercontinental. My stay was simple and pleasant, besides being awakened at 630 am by the neighbours loudly playing a soft rock radio station.

We had no idea where this motel was from the airport until we veered down Queen Street for a while and discovered it on the right side of the street in the Cabancalan neighborhood. Firstly, since the road is presently being repaired, the traffic is terrible! There is security and some underground parking, and the lady at the front desk was welcoming, even though it took her some time to discover my reservation I had made. The rooms are very basic, and they include hardly any amenities, such as soap, glass, or towels. Even though our mattress sheets had some patches on them, they appeared to have been washed. The beds were adequate for comfort. As the rooms are right next to the road, you can hear all the noises of cars, trucks, motorcycles, horns honking, etc. all night! Stay away if you're not sound sleepers! Our bathroom was in full size, with a functioning toilet and a shower with tiny water pressure. I'm not sure why, but since it didn't work, we just stopped trying. We did venture down to get some food since it had been a while since our last meal. It appeared to be a lounge at first, but until one of the staff set up table mats and menus, it was unclear if they were ready for restaurant customers. My motherinlaw is vegetarian, so we received

The hotel keeps two very unfriendly dogs in the lobby and does not make its guests feel very welcome. In fact, if you want a drink from the lobby, they will open the door, bring you the drink and any change if you want it, but they do not want you in. The room was very small and the toilet broke twice and I had to wait days for the hotel to fix it the first time and it immediately broke again. The bathroom floor was wet with a bucket of water. If you get a king room, the additional fee is the second towel and pillow. The location is fairly quiet but there is plenty of traffic. Still, nice if you like walking and seeing street vendors and other stores around. There is a sari next door, and they open early, and you can go and have coffee or food if you like and the staff there is very friendly. The hotel staff won't give you the password but will instead type it in for you on your computer. The security guards are very friendly and will get you a taxi or trike whenever you need.

Read a review mentioning the dogs and the lobby. Sorry the guest had that experience. Ive stayed in Cinfandel dozens of times and my experience has always been pleasant. When the two little dogs are in the lobby area, the staff immediately removes them to a back room so that the guest feels welcome in the lobby as they are. The dogs are friendly, but the staff immediately remove them. When there is a maintenance issue, it is immediately addressed or they change my room. They give me the network password at checkin without asking for it. One time when I had a problem with a new air conditioner, they offered to type it for me. There is a table and chairs in the lobby, and guests are welcome. The lobby has a street entrance and an interior entrance. The staff will offer to get your drink for you if you want to go back to your room. But I never felt unwelcome walking in and getting my own drink. Its always clean and the staff makes you feel like a family. Coupled with the affordable price, I highly recommend Cinfandel, I am there again right now!.
