Absolutely Amazing Stay – Already Planning Our Return! We recently spent 20 days at Salaya Beach Houses, with 16 days of incredible diving, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We stayed in a penthouse room, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered stunning views. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after long days of adventure. The entire resort was impeccably maintained, making it a pleasure to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We opted for the full-board package, which offered generous portions at every meal. However, as we were staying for an extended period, we would have welcomed some lighter options to balance the offering. To add to the relaxation, we also had a couple of massages, and they were the best we’ve ever had—we would highly recommend them to anyone visiting the resort. What truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like family. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making our experience even more memorable. The dive operation was exceptionally well-run, with highly professional dive guides and crew who made each dive safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable. The diving itself was spectacular, and the team’s expertise made all the difference. We had such an amazing time that we are already planning our next visit! Excellent hotel et très bonne cuisine Les plongées sont hyper chères pour le pays mais vous êtes très bien encadré Le personnel vous demande de signer des dérogations pour tout, aller à la piscine très jolie d ailleurs ou faire du snorkeling par exemple, ce qui nous a surpris. Notre appartement était immense avec une très grande terrasse, dommage qu ll soit impossible d y prendre le petit déjeuner alors qu il y a un espace salle à manger Sinon nous avons passé un excellent séjour

Absolutely incredible stay. The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are clean and updated. The most incredible part is the staff. They are so welcoming and friendly. They made our stay unforgettable. The resort felt like our own little oasis. We spent the days diving which had the best dive guide, dive manager, and boat crew who made the whole thing so smooth and easy for our group. We always felt safe and everything organized so well including snacks and drinks between dives. Lots of turtles, a sting ray, and even a blue whale was spotted! The evenings we relaxed by the pool and the bar or took advantage of their incredible spa facilities. This is my second visit to salaya and we'll definitely be back again. It is truly an incredible place! I cannot recommend enought!

We are a family of divers who spent ten days at salad and had an exciting experience thanks to carol, marc, and the entire staff. Quality and service are great in this beautiful and quiet place. Excellent teamwork, restaurant, cleaning, gardeners, poolside, security, all! Situated in the dumaguete suburb, it is just a short drive from the airport or back to the clinic medical treatment thanks marc. Once you arrive, you are not feeling the city anymore, but you enjoy your own private paradise on the beach where all your dreams are fulfilled. We had a luxurious penthouse, which had two levels and modern furniture with a large balcony and a stunning view of the sea, with plenty of room for the four of us. Everything is clean, even the lawn. The cuisine and service are excellent, as are the pool bar. We enjoyed every second of the resort. And not just there. Our divemaster dave and the helpful boat crew showed us the beautiful damn and apo marine life with a wide variety of small and big items. We completed 49 dives in total and would have liked to continue. Captain, also thanks! We also went slob snorkeling with whale sharks, which was not only touristy but worth a second, especially because of the breakfast juice we enjoyed with your father, C.

This is a great boutique hotel with lovely grounds , the villas are brand new and perfectly decorated . We had to cut our stay short due to a bereavement, and the Manageress Carol kindly agreed to keep our extra nights as future credit . The pool area was great overlooks the sea. We had a great dinner at the restaurant .

The property was very nice, clean, scenic and comfortable .. the apartments were spacious and with good interiors. However, there needs to be a pest control that is done. There were insects in the apartment and my bed had bed bugs too that has left me with a rash

Great resort-the rooms were spacious and clean; the beds were comfortable; the food was consistently good; the staff was warm and well trained. During the snorkeling trip to Apo Island arranged through Salaya, Klaus was wonderful company and Dave really looked after us. The chef packed us a delicious lunch and snacks. We were disappointed that all the paddle boards were busted. Also, there isn't a lot of room for riding a bike within the grounds. But the massage at the Spa was great, and there's fast wifi and a nice pool for lounging. It's important that I recount our terrible experience with a local businessman named Barry who rents out cars- he tried to change the conditions of the rental midway, and raised his voice while arguing with us. While we got Barry's name and number from Salaya, he is actually not employed by Salaya and we dealt directly with him. I only mention this incident because, when Salaya's manager saw how distraught we were at Barry, it was she who tried to pacify us and who made a wonderful gesture of sending us a bottle of bubbly to try to make up for Barry's shortcoming. We highly recommend this resort and will definitely return!

We had a wonderful week at Salaya Beach Houses, it was to celebrate our 60 th birthdays. The staff were all fantastic and couldn't do enough for us, our meals could be taken in the restaurant, on our balcony, by the pool or at the bar. Whilst we were there,we had an introduction to diving followed by two amazing dives off Apo Island, the tuition was first class encouraging my anxious husband to actually complete two dives, he is now hooked. All the crew were so helpful, they even provided us with a fabulous hot lunch on the dive boat, I don't know how they did it! On our last night a special meal was organised for us as a surprise, they set up a table on the edge of the beach with candles,flowers, a wonderful 3 course Thai meal with some extra courses thrown in and just to cap it off they also arranged for an acoustic guitarist to play very discretely for us. We also had a visit to the local food market with the chef who then cooked a meal for us with her sous chef in our apartment, great experience. A trip to the nearby waterfalls past the sulphur bursts with dips in the cold waterfall pools and the hot spa pool was a great chance to see a little of the local area as well as enjoy the waterfalls. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. It is really well run and we definitely hope to return!

The resort opened relatively recently, and is geared mainly to divers. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, the food is great and the resort is small enough that the staff can lavish attention on the guests. The beach is not particularly picturesque, but is part of a marine sanctuary and so the marine life off the beach is amazing. The dive boat is large and spacious and expertly crewed, which allows guests to dive off sites further off such as Apo and Syquijor islands. The dive facikities, dive instructors and dive masters were all really great, and able to accommodate divers of different levels of experience. The resort and the managers should be commended for making an effort to operate and eco friendly facility that tries to promote and preserve the rich marine ecosystem of the area.

I had a wonderful, unforgettable experience at Salad Beach Houses with my wife. We spent nine nights there in early February 2022 as a member of a group of 13 seasoned scuba divers, most of whom we had previously traveled with. Although we had never been to the philippines before, many of us had visited the country before, and Id say that everyone in the group had a great time. We had a great time there. Although the resort isn't big and has a maximum capacity of about 28 people, it is rather beautiful and tidy, and it is one of the nicest looking resorts we saw on the damn coast. We had an allinclusive plan, and the accommodations were spacious and extremely comfortable. We didn't have enough days to try every item on the menu, but there were so many fantastic options available! However, the staff and the operators, Carol and Marc, and the entire wonderful staff, are the greatest part of the salad beach houses. We enjoyed spending early evenings by the pool, drinking the cocktail of the day from the bar, and relaxing before dinner. During our 10 days there, many of the crew was so kind and kind, and some of them, undoubtedly, were friends we hated to leave. The salad Beach Houses dive operation is fantastic. With the intent of traveling to the vicinity of waterfallshikes and apo island turtles, slob whalesharks, and other swansongs as a group of four large families of 28 adults and many tiny children, we arrived as a group. We had a clear 55, which included superior service, food, amenities, and staff. Following four nights at Salad, we had a general sense 55. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and they were incredibly welcoming, kind, and hospitable. Salad also hired numerous personnel as our personal guides and escorts on each of our day tours, in addition to the local guides stationed at each location. They go above and beyond to maintain the resorts highest quality standards. From the restaurant to the dive shop, they keep it trendy. The menu and meal met expectations! Everyones palates will appreciate the delicious, contemporary cuisine. Try the macaroni and cheese, for example. From that point on, youll order it at each meal. The accommodations and amenities are spotless, roomy, beautifully crafted, and all have a stunning view of the ocean. We have 3 gyms. Every time I have stayed, the room was fantastic and good. The staff is constantly looking for new ways to maintain their already perfect service rooms. My wife and son, and I, of course, myself, will love the soothing and respectful atmosphere of the salad for our next stay.

Pros: Marc and his team are wonderful! They serve with heart, trying in everyway within their limits to make our stay a pleasure. Big thank you to all the restaurant staff, especially Kathy. And Dave & Christian as our snorkelling and dive guides. Also, all the masseuses that we have experienced are attentive to our needs and have very good touch. The rooms are spacious and bed is of excellent firmness. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately cared for, with a few proud looking free-range chickens roaming around, very delightful. The dive boat crew is great, helpful and thorough. Most of the dive sites are quite close (10-20 minutes) to the resort. Some wonderful snorkeling is available at several of the dive sites. In fact, nice snorkelling is available right off the resort grounds. Cons: Choice of food is very limiting, the western dishes are more successful. The wood fried pizza is world class, hopefully they will serve it daily instead of only on weekends.
