a Polish couple from Lode owned and managed old school start szkolny who renovated the dilapidated buildings and turned them into a high quality charming and cozy boutique hotel with 5 big rooms. Host jack track spoke excellent English and passable German, told stories of local history, his involvement renovating the village cemetery, hiking trails and sourcing local food from the area. We buy more from the farmers here than the nearby hotel with 100 rooms, he said. Every meal included flavorful strawberries and tomatoes, homemade goods like cheese, cake, bread rolls, pickles, chutney, and more. Homemade four-course dinners cost 100 pln about 23. 50 euro per person. As it was too much for us, we ate two courses soup, a big starter for lunch, and a main dish and dessert in the evening, for the same price. This wasn't cheap, but considering the quality, it was definitely worth it. When asked, jack suggested activities and restaurants. He had keys to a recently restored local evangelical church in Glazotts marienfelde, which was first built in the 1400 s. So we got a short guided tour of it and the nearby stone circle. We stayed here with our family of five for a week and all agreed it was very cozy, cute, and soothing, and the food was nutritious,
