Although it is not often I write reviews for trips, I felt compelled to write a review for the alto mar where I stayed on my first trip to lago, Portugal. There are shops, restaurants, bars, and of course, a lovely beach nearby, the location was ideal. The guesthouse was spotless, modern, and welcoming. We never ventured outside to attempt a breakfast elsewhere because the brunch was so delicious! Our host, Fatwa, prepared the food fresh every morning and went above and beyond to ensure both my friend and I had all we needed. Fatwa also provided us with a ton of information as to what restaurants and attractions to look at prioritise. Very good value for the money. Fatwa and alto mar, thank you for a wonderful vacation! In the near future, I will return for another vacation.

We really recommend this place. This is a lovely guesthouse with a great location. Everything you need is close to shops, cafes, beaches, bars and restaurants, even local farms made with fresh fish, fruits, veggies, and other things. The owners are very friendly and kind people. This place is in a quiet location because it is so close to everything.

This guesthouse is a great find in a beautiful city with nice restaurants and beaches. Fatwa and Lawrence took really good care of me and gave me amazing tips on what to do in Lago. The location and breakfast are top quality. Free parking is a bonus! Will be back!.

We had a fantastic experience during our stay in Lago. We could not have requested a better host, and our room was exceptional. We will highly recommend it to everyone. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared every morning. Perfect location, close to the old town and nearby beaches.

I booked this guesthouse because it is close to the beach and just a short walk to the famous beach Dona Ana. The terrace is lovely, and my room was neat. It is a wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit and delectable croissants. Fatwa is a great person. She was very pleasant and funny from the moment she welcomed me. She gave me all the information I needed. The cocktails she makes are top 10 and better than some of the wellknown bars I've visited in Portugal. Will definitely return!.
