I stayed here for a couple of nights. The bedding was the best I've ever had and the staff was wonderful. A big thank you to rita for helping us make a great stay. We booked through Agores Retreat and we couldn't have been happier with the service, excellent breakfast, and comfortable stay in a very old building. Don't miss the palace and gardens across the street.

I spent a few nights here at this Pousada. The mattresses are the best I have ever had, and the staff was great. I must say thank you to Ricardo, she went out of her way to ensure a wonderful stay. We booked via Azores Escape and couldn't be more pleased, the breakfast was delicious, and the stay was comfortable in a very old building. Don't miss a tour of the palace and gardens across the street.

I strongly recommend it. You stay in what was once the barracks of this magnificent palace. When you visit the palace, you almost have it to yourself. It takes about 12 minutes to walk to the train station to Lisbon and 15 minutes to get the included Lisbon pass. We had a great time staying there, and as it was our honeymoon, the lovely, spacious rooms had champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries ready for us. It was perfect for us to avoid staying in a crowd in Lisbon without having to worry about crowds. We had a car, but since we were in line to travel, we didn't. The staff was wonderful, courteous, and helpful. Also, a fantastic breakfast.

You remain in what was once the barracks of an incredible palace. You have it all to yourself when you visit the palace. This hotel is a lovely one, approximately 12 minutes walk from the train station to Lisbon. It takes about 15 minutes to travel there to obtain a complimentary lisbon ticket. Because it was our honeymoon, we had a great time in their spacious rooms, which had champagne chocolate covered strawberries in readiness for us. It was ideal for us to avoid the crowds in Lisbon without staying with them! We had a car because we enjoyed being in a lovely, peaceful neighborhood. Although we didn't use it while in line, we did have a car. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. A fantastic meal as well. I heartily endorse it!.
