Our way to find lodging in Portico happened impulsively and fortunately at the old city of Portico, the city stork hostel. It's a wonderful and modern location with new and full equipment, especially in the kitchen, that made our vegan hearts beat stronger with our desire to prepare our own meals, and the fact that this family-run establishment made us feel right at home, exactly as it promised. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace for dinner, simply hanging out and observing the storks. We originally only looked for a place for one or two nights, but we almost remained for one week because it's not only a great place to stay, but also very well situated for day trips like silver, lago or charming little beaches. The hosts are also extremely kind, giving us a ton of recommendations for places to visit and things to do.

We stayed at city stork hostel for one month. Everything was great. Feel like home. And also remember and marta were very friendly. Thank you for everything, we will never forget you.

This place is recommended by Brica, Hell, and Nanna from Denmark. Everyone there was helpful and friendly, making us feel at ease. It's like a home away from home, looking out over the city and storks at sunset, it doesn't compare to another place.

We had a bad experience when our train got stuck in the portico. We luckily had assistance from Armando, the hostel's manager. We ended up staying for a few nights and had a fantastic time. Armando is a great host who is well acquainted with his city. Thanks to him, we have eaten a lot of wonderful cuisine in the neighborhood and seen many lovely beaches. The hostel is spotless. So, we enjoyed it overall!.

I strongly recommend this hostel. The staff is friendly and have a great character. The location is also good, but just a short walk from the river and many cafes bars.
