Our second visit to the hotel, after a short stay in a duplex apartment with friends in September. This time with family in two rooms, but it was still such a great weekend. Unbeatable views across the Alqueva lake, really friendly and accommodating staff throughout the hotel, great food and drinks. We'll be back (again)

What an amazing place, and a really fantastic team, too. From the welcome at reception to everyone we interacted with in the bar and restaurant, the people running the place were the stars of the show, even with such a stunning location, great pool and wonderful rooms. The restaurant menu is terrific - heavy because it really represents the Alentejo and that rich, country cuisine, but beautifully presented and delicious in every example we tried. There were a good range of snacks from the bar for lunch, too. Views from the pool area to the Alqueva lake were fantastic, as were the stars from the terrace of our duplex apartment, even with the full moon. Great to be in range of sharish gin, various wineries in Vidigueira and other tourist places in the region. I'd definitely go back!

Excellent view, comfy bed and ammenities, mostly great staff, would have been perfect except felt like staff breakfast staff didn't want to be there and breakfast suffered as a result. Everyone else was lovely, everything else was equally good.

I'm happy we made the reservation. I can't remember how we first heard of this hotel, but I'm definitely glad we did. An amazing position that's really tranquil because it's relatively isolated, which is great for me, very comfy accommodation, an amazing pool, delicious meals in the dining room, a full bar, and a delicious breakfast buffet. The best thing is the cheerful, welcoming staff. We had a wonderful time in this place.

I will come back to Portugal. I stayed here to see the stars in the dark sky park. That part was amazing, wide open sky, and shooting stars. The hotel was completely new, very relaxed. The pool area is very chilled, great people, delicious food. Breakfast was top notch. We stayed as a family in the apartment rooms and they were fantastic, mith large livingkitchen area. Thank you Herded Dos Delgados for making us welcome and happy to be back.

We had a great time walking the grounds and visiting the ruins of the nearby castle, relaxing at the pool, and having delicious, leisurely meals, including an incredible breakfast buffet. We stayed in the room with the castle view, which was quiet, spotless, and cozy, and enjoyed looking out at the night sky. Every member of the staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful. My only suggestion is to add a screen door so that we could enjoy the night air without getting bugs into our room. I hope to return! Thank you for such a serene, enjoyable stay.

I will come back here again. The food prepared at Sharif Ricardo is really delicious. I've never had such good food. The whole area is amazing and unique. It is the best experience I've ever had. It's a place where you can just unwind from every day's stresses.
