I stayed here in October 2021 and must admit that I found the location a little uncomfortable. Excellently located in Castle branch, with many restaurants close by with a wide selection of menus. A strange procedure when you arrive, when nobody is there to schedule you in or have anything to talk about. You are sent an email door entry code just before you arrived, you have to enter this code onto the keypad when you arrive, which ultimately opens the main door, and in the same email you are given another code to enter your assigned room. I appreciate that covid 19 is coming and want to stay secure, but imagine an elderly person who doesn't know how to deal with it when they arrive. strange system. The hotel itself is very lovely, the rooms are roomy and have excellent amenities including a room fridge and good wifi. Parking is close by and there is plenty of it. If I wanted to stay in the castle branch, this was probably my second choice.

I've been here three times, and this time, it was by far the best. The room I requested was mys. More of a suite than a room. It was spotless and clean. Small details like chocolates, sweets, and fruit give off a pleasant atmosphere. There is a small bar at fair prices, as well as air conditioning heating. On this trip, the heating was very useful. Although the breakfast is basic continental, there is a lot of food and some delicious local cheeses. All tastes appear to be accommodated. Since I've finished a process of buying my own house nearby, I will no longer need to stay here, but I have to visit soon and am eager to see it. In Castle Branch, I haven't discovered a more pleasant place to stay.

In addition to being a colossal hotel, this one was a boutique esplanade. I was feeling a little like Goldilocks, and the three hotels I stayed in on the castle branch are awful. One is extremely expensive and is being reviewed here, and one is just fine. Yes, you read it correctly! That one was a boutique esplanade! I always wanted to go back there after a long, happy, bustling, dreadful day because the room was lovely! The to was unforeseen because it included Englishspeaking movies with Portuguese subtitles. The room had a guarantee, a microwave, an espresso maker, a small fridge, and complimentary tea and coffee. Breakfast costs an additional five euros, but I can't locate my euro sign. There was a kitchen for guests' use, as well as a patio terrace gardenoutdoor space, which I discovered shortly before leaving. One thing I would advise is that you must first learn how to operate the air conditioner before you go to sleep, have to hunt for socks in the middle of the night, and get out the hotel's additional blankets. The elastoplast used on the bottom of the chair, which persisted there throughout my stay, was a stubby piece of fabric, which a previous visitor hung on to her leg.

What a beautiful little gem! Excellent positioning, and easy parking. The personnel and facilities deserve praise. Clean and well-managed. The garden is a quiet space with orange trees all around. Christine, the maid, is another treasure who keeps everything in order. All of the canvass on the walls from previous guests are fascinating reads. If I ever return to the castle, I will go back.

I have been to this guest house three times and it has never disappointed me. Rooms always clean, employees are always friendly and speak English and the room rate is very reasonable. It is a basic breakfast. I will come back here again.
