What a wonderful setting. The hotel is nice, not far from the beach and connected to the boardwalk, providing a fantastic walk to the nearest town. The rooms we had were clean and tidy, and the food and wine were very good. They were wonderful. Reception, porters, restaurants, bars, all were helpful and service was great. We were touring on motorcycles and had a problem with one of them, which was quickly fixed thanks to the positive help and assistance. We had a really fantastic experience and enjoyed some great funny banter with some of the staff whose English was great just as well as only one of us knew one or two words of Portuguese. We also liked the hotel's location a bit outside of Porto, where we encountered some absolutely horrendous gridlock.

Despite having a fantastic beachfront to stroll along, Espheni is a fantastic spot to visit a ton of shops, eateries, and stores. As a result, I don't understand why it's a five-star hotel, and we would not return there, just like espheni. It's unfortunate that our room really required cleaning, starting with damaged bathroom tiles, stains all over the carpets, and general wear and tear throughout the space. The hair dryer was terrible. Although 24-hour room service is available for a fee, there are no tea or coffee facilities. The small bar in our room was priced to include a variety of beverages, one packet of I is, and two tiny pringles. The personnel was welcoming and the front desk staff was excellent. The restaurant personnel seemed to be in a good mood, however, some were fine with you, while others appeared to be in a bad mood. The breakfast was nothing outstanding, consisting only of the usual fruit cereal pastry and a limited selection of hot dishes like beans, tomatoes, scrambled eggs, and hot dog sausages, not five breakfast really. The coffee shop was closed, which was disappointing, however my bar area needs improvement and some doubtable characters concerning the inside pool area needs updating. Furthermore, sun loungers were outdated and broken the pool was heated, which was an additional drawback.

We stayed 5 nights at this lovely beachside hotel about 20 to 30 minutes south of Porto. After visiting Portugal twice before, both in Porto and Lisbon, it was a pleasant move to be away from the metropolis and stay on the beach. Although somewhat dated in appearance, The solved is a lovely spa hotel. It was clean and very comfortable, with spacious rooms we had a superior sea view, which I recommend, particularly the bathroom. It had easy parking, fantastic staff, great facilities and grounds, indoor and outdoor pools, and convenient beach access, you must walk a bit to reach it through the extensive boardwalk. Although it is recommended to rent a car, there is plenty of restaurant, entertainment, or tourist activities close by, but there is plenty to entertain yourself. We didn't utilize the spa facilities, but they seemed very nice, and many people did. I used the gym, which was quite adequate. The hotel's food was excellent, especially for dinner at the main restaurant. On this journey, we skipped Porto altogether and went to the coast, both south and north, as well as the Spanish border, which was the ideal starting point for our vacation.
