Det er virkelig et hyggeligt hotel som bliver drevet af et ægtepar. Vores værelse var en fin størrelse med altan og der blev gjort rent hver dag. Der er ikke elevator, men er blot i 2 etager. Det ligger super fint i forhold til butikker og spisesteder. Vi havde bil og der er parkering lige udenfor hotellet dog mod betaling i en automat, men det er ikke dyrt. Morgenmaden er virkelig dejlig og der mangler bestemt ikke noget. Servicen er helt i top. Kan varmt anbefale dette hotel.

Accès facile par l'aérobus (arrêt 7 ou 8) et quelques minutes de marche. Localisation en centre ville, à environ 10 mn à pied de la cathédrale. Accueil chaleureux par le patron qui parle français. Chambre simple mais assez spacieuse avec des rangements suffisants et une grande salle de douche (l'eau chaude met un certain temps à arriver!). Matelas ferme, sans être trop dur. Pas de chauffage, ce qui peut manquer en janvier! Volets et rideaux occultants très appréciables pour ne pas être réveillé par le jour. La fenêtre des chambres du premier étage donne sur une petite terrasse avec vue sur l'océan, mais l'inconvénient est que l'intimité n'est pas préservée si on laisse les volets ouverts (choisir une chambre au 2ème avec balcon pour éviter cet inconvénient). L'environnement de la pension est plutôt calme, mais à l'intérieur, cela dépend des autres résidents, comme dans tout autre hôtel! Mention spéciale au petit déjeuner préparé par la patronne: œuf cuit à votre convenance, jambon, fromage, plusieurs pains frais, brioche, portions de confiture et de beurre, jus de fruit, fruit frais, lait, thé ou café (bon)... et en plus de tout ça une confiture et un gâteau tous deux faits maison et différents chaque jour. Top! Tout ce qu'il faut avant une journée active de visites ou de randonnée. Je conseille cette pension à tous ceux qui cherchent à être un peu à l'écart de l'agitation de l'hypercentre et déjeuner plus que copieusement, pour un prix tout à fait raisonnable.

Whether or not "budget-minded" (as I am), this facility is tops in its class and in a great "European" tradition. Host Augustino assures every comfort and need. His cooking and cleaning staff are meticulous and generous. Breakfasts as included are delicious and very complete! The outdoor balconies (available to all rooms) with views of the city and harbor are a big plus (including with tables, chairs, and power outlets!). Very quiet neighborhood with convenience grocery store nearby. Reasonable access to local transportation by foot (but do your homework on bus routes, first). (Not recommended for the physically-impaired or challenged.)

L'hotêl est situé à 500 mm de l'office de tourisme. L'hotêl ne dispose pas de parking mais il y a un parking public place bleue juste en face pour 63 centimes de l'heure de 8h à 20h en semaine, 8h à 14h le samedi et gratuit le dimanche. Il y a également quelques places gratuites à environ 150 m souvent disponible le soir. Les Hôtes sont très accueillants et de bon conseil, l'endroit est calme, confortable avec un petit déjeuner très copieux (fruits, jambon, fromage, oeufs, pain, brioche, jus, café ou thè...) La chambre et la salle de bain sont simples mais suffisant. C'est un très bon rapport qualité prix.

Vi (jag och min fru) bodde på Pensão Residencial Vila Teresinha en hel vecka, mellan den 6:e och 13:e mars 2017. Rummet var rent och bekvämt. Det hade en fin balkong med utsikt mot oceanen. Läget var underbart och tillgängligt för allt. Frukösten var gott. Och personalen var vänliga och hjälpsamma.

I booked it only a few weeks earlier and got a great price. It's close enough to Funchal centre but away from all the noise. The only Tino speaks perfect English so you won't have a problem. He loves conversation with you about Madeira, Portugal and other issues. Very helpful and extremely friendly. On the final day, he also let me to keep the room till midday so that I could wonder around city centre before leaving for the airport. Great breakfast by the way.

Freundliches, einfaches Haus am Rande der Innenstadt (außerhalb der Hotelzone).. Alle zentralen Punkte sind zu Fuß zu erreichen, auch die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel für Fahrten ins Umland. Liegt an einer kleinen Einbahnstraße, die allerdings zu Stoßzeiten durchaus "belebt" ist. Die Zimmer "vorne raus" haben einen schönen Blick aufs Meer, können aber etwas laut sein. Es gibt auch ruhigere Zimmer zur Seite (mit eingeschränktem Blick) oder nach hinten (mit Blick auf den Hang, an dem die Pension liegt). Einfaches, aber reichhaltiges Frühstück. Excellentes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis - sehr persönliche Betreuung durch die Inhaber. Insegesamt sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man mehr Wert auf authentische Atmosphäre als auf perfektes Ambiente legt.

Die Pension hat eine tolle Aussicht über die Dächer von Funchal. Anbei kann man von der Terrasse noch teile vom Hafen sehen. Die beiden Wirte sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Pension ist außerdem leicht zu finden und zu erreichen. Vielen Dank für die tolle Woche auf madeira.
