I like the architecture is modern and surrounded by the stunning landscape. The service is very nice and caring, it makes me an alternative to any tourist reference in Portugal. The quality of the food is quite good, the place is great to unwind and spend more time relaxing.

Ill undoubtedly return and suggest it. In this extremely rural part of Portugal, finding a good hotel is difficult, but luckily solar dos cares was recommended to me by a local source. We needed to remain for 3 nights and needed someone cozy, boutique, and uncomplicated. Solar did not have any expectations. The lobby is elegant, has a log fire, staff are quite welcoming, and the rooms are tidy, modern, and comfortable. Good architecture and renovation of excellent quality. All 3 nights we ate at the hotel restaurant. The food was very tasty and nicely presented, the menu is very diverse for a small restaurant with many options. We stayed in a room overlooking the pool and the garden, but the other rooms in the main house are also nice and even larger. We have family living here, so we checked out all 8 rooms for our future stays, they are all great. We went for a nice walk in the woods around the hotel, the location is very quiet but not much to do. Its important to note that the hotel is under new ownership and management since October 2020, and the new team is clearly doing a great job. Pedro at the front desk and luis at the restaurant made our stay very pleasant.

For two nights, my husband and I stayed at Solar Dos Cares. The location and surrounding area are very quiet, silent, and peaceful. The hotel has been renovated from solar, but it is modern, with a good sense of decor, and is clean. Loved the bedroom, again very well decorated and with a large bathroom. It has an outside pool with a jacuzzi. Breakfast was also very good. Youll have to go to the city for the main meals.
