About The Vintage House Douro
The Vintage House Hotel, a luxury property, is nestled in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Douro Valley wine region in Pinhão. Occupying a former 18th-century wine estate, the hotel sits on the banks of the Douro River, approximately 50 meters (164 feet) away, offering panoramic views of the river and surrounding vineyards. The hotel was renovated in 2009.
The hotel features 43 air-conditioned rooms, many with private, furnished balconies that provide stunning river and vineyard views. Each room is equipped with luxury bedding, modern furnishings, an LCD/flat-screen television with satellite programming, complimentary wireless internet access, a minibar, and a hairdryer. Select rooms also offer coffee/tea makers, bottled water, bathrobes, and complimentary toiletries.
Dining options include the elegant Rabelo Restaurant, which features vaulted ceilings and serves regional cuisine for lunch and dinner, with an esplanade for scenic outdoor dining. A buffet breakfast is available daily from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM for a fee. Guests can relax with drinks at the intimate Library Bar, complete with chandeliers and a fireplace, a general bar/lounge, or the poolside bar. 24-hour room service is also available.
