About Garden Route Game Lodge
Nestled in a malaria-free private game reserve just a scenic 3. 5-hour drive from Cape Town, this lodge offers luxurious comfort amidst abundant wildlife, including the Big Five. Positioned at the gateway to South Africa's renowned Garden Route Coast, with the majestic Langeberg Mountains as a backdrop, the lodge is conveniently located 97 km from George Airport and 355 km from Cape Town Airport. Renovated in 2010, this family-friendly lodge features 34 spacious rooms, each adorned with an African theme. Guests can enjoy breathtaking sunsets from their west-facing balconies, conveniently located steps from the pool. Families will appreciate the proximity to lodge amenities. Expansive wooden decks overlooking the valleys provide tranquil spaces to unwind while listening to the sounds of the African night. The lodge offers a lobby and two distinct dining experiences. Each room includes a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, along with a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Knowledgeable game rangers lead morning and evening game drives, sharing their expertise on the local wildlife and captivating African folklore. The lodge boasts two unique restaurants. The African Boma offers a hearty menu of traditional cuisine and chef's specialties, cooked over open coals in African pots, while Serengetis provides a more interactive dining experience. Guests traveling from Cape Town can take the N2 highway east for 348 km, finding the lodge entrance 7 km past Albertinia. Those arriving from George can take the N2 highway west for 85 km, locating the entrance 12 km after the Gouritz River Bridge.
