Everything is in order. I enjoyed every minute. It was the first time visiting Gordon Bay with my partner. The area is quiet and secure. The stores nearby help us find what we needed at the time. Lydia is good at her job. A walk that welcomes her and a breakfast that serves. Keep up your good work, Lydia.

Be aware that it is a double garage if you book in this guesthouse and are given a Merlot room! With an secure shower and toilet, a small living room, and a coffee maker, this might give you a lot of space, but there are no windows! You won't enjoy privacy if you open the air-conditioned door, and at night, the curtains must be closed or you will be visible to everyone passing by. However, the bed is damaged! When we informed the housekeeper of this, she claimed that it had been reported before, but the owner didn't intend to purchase a new bed. As a result, sleeping comfortably was not a possibility because this queen-size bed is supported beneath on bricks and the mattress is damaged on the side.

No celing fan and not even a rotating fan. Just a simple stationary one low down on floor level. Small fridge on floor so you have to get down on knees to retrieve items. No one was there to open for us. We got hold of the gentlemen with the help of their guests...apparently they left to celebrate valentines day. No pool, just a foot bath called pool. 1,5m-2,5m x 2,5m. Cant swim in it! Small tv in room so difficult to see. No welcome info in room with Wi-Fi code, info on restaurants ect.. Impossible to shower without getting whole bathroom wet. You have to climb into bath and use a hand shower that can be attached to wall.. but no shower curtain. 2 connecting doors to rooms next door on either side inside our room with result that we could hear neighbours clearly. For some reason breakfast is only served from 8am. Guest House is far from beach. 2nd worst stay on a 35day road trip of South Africa. They advertise with good reviews, but I just get it.
