Not an easy place to find, Hekpoort did not come up on our sat nav and it's quite a way from Magliesburg. Once there though it is in a beautiful setting and very peaceful, just you and the rising sun If my life's ambiton was to write a book this is where i'd come. Very good standard of hosting. Essentially self catering.

Amazing cottages, well equipped, modern and clean. Great quality bed that you want to lie in all day. Votadini team eager to assist with any special requests and very friendly . Value for money.

The owners, rican and Jan, were wonderful from booking to check-in and were quick to answer all my questions. The apartment is very tidy and roomy. It's like being in a vacation home. The view is wonderful and peaceful. I'm looking forward to our next visit there. Keep up the good work.

We were lucky enough to stay at Votadini for a weekend. In terms of cleanliness, attention to detail, kind and efficient service, small details, and excellent customer service, we attended a wedding nearby and would highly suggest these self catering cottages for a weekend stay. We were impressed by it.

We were meant to stay for a week, but it turned out to be two. Beautiful, very private selfcatering cottages in Hekpoort, at the foot of the ancient magazines mountain. The cottages are completely fenced with break areas outside and a cozy fireplace inside. The absence of tes made it even more special, creating quality time spent with one another and the dogs plenty of space to walk with their dogs, and even a splash pool where they can cool down! A soothing energy emerges from the surrounding grasses, gently forcing one into total soul finding relaxation whats in a name? Votadini was an iron age tribe in the British Isles before the Roman invasion of Britain. Thank you, Jan and Adrian, for all your hospitality.

Very well recommended. The Votadinis cottages are secluded and private, spacious, pet and toddler friendly, with private fenced areas in addition to access to walk through larger property. We had a very relaxing time there over the weekend and also found it to be a great starting point for day trips to both Hartebeespoort and Magliesburg. Jan and Adrian were excellent hosts who went out of their way to make us feel at home and at home.

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely place. Very clean, comfortable, and modern with everything you could need. The views are amazing and very relaxing. My dog adored it too. The hosts were very nice and friendly.
