About Zwahili Game Lodge
Zwahili Private Game Lodge & Spa is a private game lodge situated two hours north of Johannesburg in the malaria-free Bushveld region of the Limpopo Province. This intimate lodge offers ten luxurious suites catering to a variety of tastes and budgets. Guests can experience spectacular sunsets from the extended timber deck, enjoying unsurpassed peace and tranquility while observing the awakening nocturnal wildlife. As the Southern Cross and Orion's Belt adorn the night sky, the distant aroma of a campfire from the open-air boma welcomes guests back from their evening game drive. The subtle rhythm of tribal drums announces a diverse array of culinary delights to satisfy even the most discerning palates. Game viewing, led by an experienced ranger, offers sightings of lion, giraffe, civet cat, caracal, zebra, blue wildebeest, eland, impala, red hartebeest, ostrich, gemsbok, waterbuck, blesbok, kudu, bushpig, warthog, and numerous smaller antelope. (Zwahili does not have the Big Five). Over 400 species of African birdlife can be observed, including rare sightings such as the lizard buzzard and brown snake eagle. The world-renowned Nylsvley bird sanctuary is nearby for avid birdwatchers. Guests can also enjoy guided bush walks and excursions to view San Bushmen paintings and ascend Witkop, stepping back in time to when Boer General used this koppie as a hideout from the British. Witkop stands as a tribute to a forgotten period of history. Nature trails range from 3 to 5. 5km. The African Spa Collection provides a natural escape, restoring equilibrium to body and mind.
