Our room was extremely hot etc. no matter if we switched the thermostat or opened the window, like the reception told us to. The decor is old and the good restaurants are limited when the location is 7 am from the city. English is limited at the reception.

Nice hotel. We only stayed one night, but the room was adequate although a touch antiquated. The shower wasn't completely drained and there was black mold surrounding the bottom seals, but the room was wonderful aside from that. The breakfast buffet was fine, with lots of choices. I have a nut allergy and spoke with the staff who I don't believe fully understood because they said I couldn't have eggs or some veggie rice, among other surprising dishes, but they didn't say anything about the peanut sauce dish. As a vegan there was very little I could eat here. There was a good selection of vegetables and bread. The communal amenities like the garden and pool looked good, but we didn't experience them.

The Commodore has some tourist attractions nearby, so you will rely on taxis. Nevertheless, it could be challenging to get around without a kakapo taxi. The central complaint is the walls are like tissue paper, we could hear every word from the next room, and they had a crying infant, had to be on quite loudly, and seemed to enjoy yelling. The room was decently big, with nice amenities. There's no merit to anything at this place. The front desk was courteous but not as welcoming as other places we encountered in Korea. The beds were comfortable but a bit springy. The walls are like tissue paper, which is the key problem. The next room's screaming baby could be heard from us, and they had a crying infant, a toe on very loudly, and seemed to like yelling. We did not enjoy breakfast at the hotel because the buffet is high in price and not that interesting. You will rely on cabs because the commodore is quite far from Gyeongju's main tourist attractions, and public transportation is irregular. We could order kakapo taxis like Uber because we were with our daughter, who lives in Korea.
