There is no need to remain in this location. Although they probably wont be awarded the irony of it being referred to as a hotel colon, a hotel in the whole would be more appropriate. Its not necessary to remain in this area. Sadly, there isnt anything positive about this hotel. It is a sizable location with 370 rooms. We were due to arrive at 1.30 p.m. and had only 5 cars left in the parking lot. We arrived early enough, but I am very surprised that there wasnt even a room prepared! Large room and attractive lobby, but dirty carpets, bed throw, thick dust on the back of the door, broken lamps, a broken kettle, and they dont provide coffee as they are. We had a single green tea bag, wifi was nearly nonexistent, it would be a lovely view but double glazing was so fucked up you could not see out. It wasnt recommended to comment on the food as neither of the big fancy restaurants offered a vegetarian option, or could they rust something up. Also, we were told that breakfast, which closes at 5 am! There were no items we could eat. When we requested a rental iron, they said that there is no one available throughout the hotel. The pool was empty, and the sauna costs an additional 300 won. This is a great disappointment after three other wonderful

The colony is outside of Gyeongju, so if you don't have a car, a taxi is required. We had a car and drove into town in the evening to eat. It's a large hotel in need of some taco now but our room was ok. The breakfast buffet was small but the staff was helpful.

I stayed at the bad name colon hotel, which is not great but perfectly acceptable for an overnight stay. I enjoy walking around when I check, but nearly nothing else is around except a few restaurants. The lack of English spoken by the staff may be a disadvantage.

The hotel is a little worn out and in need of renovation. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is good with a modest menu. Breakfast was good, and the hotel has a wide variety of other amenities that we didn't have time to explore. Our room was clean but a bit crowded with both a double and a single bed. Compared to other South Korean hotels, this one had a simple mechanical toilet that anyone could use. After the frustrating high tech gadgets in other hotels, we were happy to see it.

About Kolon Hotel Gyeongju

The hotel is located adjacent to Bulguksa Temple, 20 minutes from Gyeongju Station and the express bus terminal, 25 minutes from Ulsan Airport, 45 minutes from Pohang Airport, and one and a half hours from Gimhae International Airport. The hotel is fully air-conditioned and features elevator access in the lobby. It also offers six conference rooms equipped with modern facilities for international conventions, seminars, and receptions.
