The rooms were neat and cleaned daily. The desk service was excellent. Breakfast was continental but very good. There was only a slight downside the noise of people shouting from the street below most nights which wasnt the hotels fault. If you are snoozing heavily, you wont notice it. Good central location.

This hotel is in a great location. We only had breakfast and enjoyed it. It was simple but everything was fresh every day, the espresso from the coffee machine was the best. The staff was very polite and always smiled. They cleaned every morning. Our stay in february was cold, we didnt stop the heat overnight. Thank you to hayme at reception, hes incredibly friendly and helpful! Kind regards, hamel. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for a few days and it wasnt as bad as some of the reviews suggested. Yes, the area is shaky, but i found the hotel to be fine, slept well, and found three guys who were on duty during my stay to have been friendly enough. The hotel is close to las ramblas. There are bars and restaurants nearby.

This is the place to stay if you want to walk around and be located in the gothic quarter for cheap. Ill begin by stating this. We spent $104 for two nights staying in downtown the Gothic quarter. Needless to say, we were already winning because it wasnt a hostel and had your own bedroom, bathroom, and locked doors. When we arrived to check in, the front desk was helpful. They helped us locate and held our bags when we came to arrive early to do so. The area was clean, but because its on the first floor (second floor, as floor zero is their ground floor), the noise from the busy streets and alleys is nearly impossible to block out because of the fact that it is on level zero, which is where floor no is located. Again, i wouldnt put anything against compared to putting up with hardly $50 per night for the location. Overall, it receives 0 stars because the price is unmatched for what we expected.

We stayed there in may 2023 and had a great time! The room was clean and modern. Room service was adequate. A decent breakfast was included. But most importantly, location! Its tastier at night, but the convenience of being in the Gothic quarter outperforms this inconvenience. The staff is friendly. Thank you for having us!.

The location is good and the price is worth it with the great location. We paid 220 euros for two people 3 nights with breakfast. Even though its in a busy center, its still quiet at night and great for sleep. But there are some drawbacks. It was very cold when we went in early January so we didnt turn off the heating at all to keep it warm. Breakfast is not good, there is only bread, ham, cheese, yogurt and sweets, no vegetables, and could be better finished. Good points about this place are the excellent location in the center and reception is open 24 hours - good price.

I would strongly recommend staying here if you want to be in the heart of barcelona! Ill be returning. This hotel is unquestionably excellent! Just spent three nights here, and it was fantastic. When you arrive, the receptionists are really friendly. The rooms are very clean and roomy, with a lovely little balcony that faces the streets of the Gothic quarter! The location is excellent, less than ten minutes walk from la Rambla and placa reial! Naturally, at night, it can get chilly, but that is tolerable given the location, its certainly not too noisy, though. Although the breakfast area was in our basement, there were plenty of options for bread, hams, cheese, yogurts or cereal, pastries, etc.

Hotel California Barcelona is a topnotch hotel for sightseeing in the city of barcelona. We had sanitized and comfortable stay there for two nights thanks to the exceptional service and recommendations provided by the staff. It is conveniently located near the plaza catalunya and las ramblas. I heartily endorse it and will return.

I would definitely stay here again the next time i visit barcelona. Excellent, reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location with cosy beds and quiet rooms. Im not sure how this is only rated as if it is merely ranked as an excellent 2star hotel because it has much better facilities. My only complaint, which is not the hotels fault, is that despite my initial reservations for extending my stay for one night, ive been frightened by the twostar rating, but sadly, the hotel was full when he booked another room.

When my husband and i planned our trip to the european capital, it was one of our stops. Many of your friends and family had been there and told us about all the top attractions to see. One thing they all said was to stay close to las ramblas. When his husband made reservations at hotel calibera, he knew we were nearby - we didnt know how close. Las rumbas were about a 2 block walk away. From there, everything was convenient. The walk to bus stop hop on hop off, la boqueria, the beach, and pretty much everything. Staff were amazing. They were kind and helpful incredibly personable and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Free breakfast was nice if you can fill up before heading out for the day. There is essentially ten steps down the road, called first bar, which is literally 50 steps away ive visited twice. A restaurant called my way has great food and an excellent atmosphere and is located merely down from the street (probably 150 steps). Overall, this is an outstanding hotel that ill highly recommend. We will stay here again when we return to barcelona.

We spent one night at this three friendly hotel before joining our cruise ship. The concierge couldnt have been more helpful and gave us friendly warnings about the pick pockets that frequent la Rambla. This is a very conveniently located hotel with utmost convenience, continental breakfast and i will definitely use it again.

Lokasinya strategis. Kamarnya rapi dan dibersihkan setiap hari. Pelayanan mejanya sangat baik. Sarapan kontinental tapi sangat enak. Satu-satunya downside adalah suara orang-orang yang berteriak dari jalan di bawah hampir setiap malam, bukan kesalahan hotel. Jika Anda tidur nyenyak, Anda tidak akan menyadarinya.
