Bed & breakfast up in a small village in Asturias near Picos de Europe National Park. This place is family run with friendly and accommodating hosts. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Limited parking, but we were ok during our stay as it wasn't too busy. There are no restaurants in Alevia itself, but a few good places to eat down in Siejo and Panes a couple of miles drive down the hill. Breakfast at the casona was reasonably priced and well prepared. Lovely views of the mountains from the town and a very pleasant stay overall.

This place is just magical. The owners are so sweet, thoughtful, and helpful. I hated to leave. If you are looking for something unique, genuine, a true Asturian experience, then visit this place. If you are looking for amenities outside of this property you may have to drive just a bit. But if you are looking for true natural beauty this couldn’t be any better. Our stay here is something we will never forget. FYI their breakfast’s are so delicious.

A wonderful transformation of an old farm that is charming, traditional, and gorgeous. Olivia itself is a couple of miles outside Panes, and only has a small local bar. Panes itself is not appealing, but it's functional. Despite the fact that you have to travel a bit, there are many excellent restaurants in the area, but we stayed only one night and didn't have time to explore. This is not the place for you if you need somewhere close to a nearby place. If you want an atmosphere, exceptional service, and a fantastic breakfast, try this.

The owner has just begun to plan where to store the maximum number of six or seven cars that can stay at one time. In the tiny village, parking is very challenging, but the owner has already figured out where to place the maximum number of 6 or 7 cars that can remain at once. For anything that seems resembling normality, you must drive down the hill to panes or beyond, but if you want peace and quiet and good walking, it may be the place for you.

Consequently, I suppose everything varies on your reasons for remaining here. The casa valeria's gloomiest drawback is that getting dinner requires driving at least a few steps down a twisting, colliding mountain road, and, worse, back after eating. The fact that we found the restaurants in panes at the bottom of the hill uninspiring and had to travel more to locate somewhere better on both nights of our visit didn't improve the situation. The casa's proprietors refused to provide anything at all and were unhelpful. To be honest, we knew when we made our reservation that the hotel had no restaurant, but we had not fully grasped the ramble of its remote location. Although the bed was ancient, it was very comfortable, and the hotel's location couldn't have been more peaceful. The lighting in the bedroom balanced the mood, and the compact bathroom provided all of the necessities. Luckily, the owner of the house understood pretty well in French as well as I do. Neither her husband nor she spoke any English, but we had a decent conversation in French! It could be more difficult if you don't speak either Spanish or French. There are some excellent mountain walks with varying length and difficulty right outside the village, and the hotel can provide guidance and recommendations for them. As long as you are prepared to drive the hills for dinner, it

I stayed here over ten years ago, my husband. At that time, the grounds were beautiful, the room we stayed in was great, and the breakfast was great. The owner was very welcoming. One night, I had dinner at the inn, and it was really nice. We made arrangements in advance. If they still do that, I suggest taking advantage of it. The winding road up the mountain was a fun adventure with amazing views. We were able to find restaurants at the bottom of the mountain, and we shopped for picnic food at a grocery store.

This is the second time we stayed Hotel Casona and it's a wonderful family owned Hotel. It's 15 mins from Panes where there are several places to eat a grocery store, bakery and a nice Park for walking or riding a bike. There's also a canoe rental place right on the river.

An amazing setting for this lovely and unique place. No restaurant close by was the only draw back as we had to drive back down to the village, which meant no drinking with meals. We got a bottle of wine back and enjoyed playing leisurely games in our room instead. The owner was very helpful, the breakfast varied and plentiful and the scenery breathtaking. We will go back next year for a stopover on our way further into Asturia.

This is a charming, friendly little hotel in a traditional mountain village in the Picos de Europa, with rooms full of character and breakfasts with local produce, which we would highly recommend. It is well worth the short drive up the winding road to get to it.
