Fantastic place to spend the night in Tarifa. So much thought and imagination has been put into every aspect of the hotel, from layout, to the individual furnishings. The host could not do enough for us, even going off to get wound dressings for a grazed leg! We loved every special moment spent here and can’t recommend it enough!

Veronica is the most amazing, caring and attentive hostess ever - she took me to the ferry office to get my to get my ticket to Tangier, and gave me advice about arriving and navigating in Tangier. And Tarifa is a gorgeous gem of a seaside town. I would love to go back and stay at her place again! Thank you, Veronica!!

Luiza was very easy to talk to and offered lots of suggestions for sites to see around Tarifa. The building and rooms were newly redesigned and rearchitected. Lots of art and design details. We enjoyed a cold beer from the open bar while checking in and dinner at a wonderful fish restaurant just across the street inside the old city walls. The bed was quite comfortable with new sheets and duvet. The bathroom was clean and modern.

In order to spend one night in tariff at Hospederia 16, we recently visited. And thats what matters most. The situation in the heart of Tarifas old town, beautifully restored house, unusual furniture pieces, and concept rooms we stayed in erotica with a bed connected to the ceiling and a mirror fixed to it, was the first impression. The rest of the experience, however, was somewhat subpar. The staff wasnt really service oriented even friendly, but just occasionally. Breakfast was a failure the small buffet had very few choices, and the place was lacking atmosphere, it felt empty, a place without soul. We could recommend the place for a onenight stay in an unconventional place, but wouldnt recommend for a longer stay.

I would have preferred a bigger selection for breakfast, other than continental, with room service option. This hotel is amazing and highly recommended. This room is exactly as shown in the pictures. Liza Leonardo gives a first class service, looking forward to the next visit.

This hotel is in a very nice position because of the wonderful decoration. Very stunning rooms and nice people. We experienced a fantastic experience thanks to the owner, Luisa, and her team. In the end, I will never hesitate to come back to stay at this hotel.

The property was in the old town section of Tarifa. It was located so close to the port and many old town streets, restaurants and shops. We were there in late January and the room was very cool. But the location overcomes any minor room inconveniences.

I absolutely recommend the Hospederia and Tariff. In the middle of September, we had a wonderful time here. The hospederia offers excellent advice to help you get the most out of your stay. Our apartment faced the road, and despite insulation and double glazing, our first night was a Saturday, so there was no noise at all. If noise bothers you, request a room that does not face the road if it is uncomfortable. Our room was enormous, with some original design and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was served downstairs in the typical buffet style, with a nice selection. You entered the hospederia with a code, and the key then gives you access to your room. Be aware that there is no reception and staff in the lobby area, so please let luisa know when you are coming and she will come to greet you.

Check in process was pretty stressful for me. I called the hotel the day before and the lady on the phone said that I need to call her in an hour before arrival and she will give me a code to enter the building . I was calling the whole hour and she never picked up the phone. She wasn't in town and for some reason didn't pick up the phone. When we arrived, there was another lady who waited for us. But if the owner would let us know that someone expected us, we wouldn't be so worried. Overall we felt ignored. If something would happen in the property, we would be on our own. She didn't pick up the phone. And wi-fi was absolutely terrible.

Great concept in theory, but missed many of the fundamentals: cleanliness, quiet, wifi connection. I’ve never seen as many cockroaches in a hotel. It’s on a busy street that has partiers all night. The wifi didn’t work in the rooms. Other aspects like the design and location were fine.
