The room and common areas were pleasant and clean. My private room was small and had no view, but had a little table, closet, and basin. Check in took 2 minutes. Sleep was comfortable. Excellent shower. If you check out early, there are key drop boxes to deposit your key. There are no receptionists open around-the-clock. The location is very close to the passed de Gracia and 100 meters from a metro stop. The location was perfect for me as I only sat in the bin for an afternoon. Building is very old and a little spooky, especially the entrance and elevator.

This hostel is located in an old Spanish apartment building. The real hostel is divided into two levels. Bed, desk, to, sink, and dresser are all contained in the private rooms. Every day the maids change the linens and towels. Each floor has a bathroom and a place to refill water bottles since you cannot use the sink in Barcelona. Overall, it was a good stay. The only issue was the lack of ventilation, which made the room feel a bit stuffy. There was a window in the room, but it didn't make much difference. The location is excellent! The Barada Familie and other great places to visit are all within walking distance.

I have very good experience at this place, it is close to the Barada familia and GRAZA. The only downside is the room which is on the inner side of the hall without a window. Because of the congested air, and the thin walls, we can hear the music and other voices. The place is not that unique, but for a very good price. A typical but boring experience.

About Hostal Felipe II

Hostal Felipe 2 is centrally located in a Modernist building just off Diagonal Avenue, less than a 5-minute walk from Verdaguer Metro Station and only 10 minutes from Sagrada Familia. All rooms feature flat-screen TVs and wooden floors, with either private or shared bathrooms. Some rooms also have balconies and most have air conditioning/heating. Bed linens and towels are included, along with housekeeping every other day. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and the common area offers guest computers with internet access from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A safe is available at reception, and luggage storage is provided. Each room has two keys, and there's no curfew. Reception is open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Guests arriving after 10:00 PM are kindly requested to call or email us to arrange their late check-in.
