What a treat! Our trip to this hotel was accidental because it is near the Altair Museum. There, we spent the night, both lunch and dinner. No elevator is available, but the staff was really helpful in bringing our baggage to the floor where it was situated. The room was clean, cozy, large, colorful, and decorated in a warlike manner. Did I also mention that the cost was quite affordable? The food was excellent. After all the iceberg lettuce that came with a month of vacation in Spain, they provided leaf lettuce, which was a nice taste. The proprietors, who appeared to be operational around the clock, could not have been more cordial.

If you're in town, this restaurant is definitely a destination to visit. The hotel and restaurant have been newly renovated, and it's located about a half-mile west of the town. The walk to Altair Caves and Old Town was also a breeze because we did not have a car. Traditional Spanish cuisine is provided. We had excellent bean and pork soup for lunch. Great was the fish soup for supper. Although the proprietors and we don't speak Spanish well, they looked after us by simply bringing the soup without our authorization.

Stayed here for 2 nights during demand santa. Lovely, comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Restaurant is good and authentically Spanish, but be prepared to eat a lot that is not a complaint. The staff was all helpful and very welcoming. If your in Santillana del Mar then this family-run and charming posed is the perfect place to stay.

We were recommended by our hotel. The food was delicious and served quickly from the menu del dia. But the staff is straight from the basil fawlty school. Not a single smile, cutlery almost thrown at us, food plonked down. It was very rude it was really funny! I felt like asking if Manuel was off tonight. The good news is they were the same to all the other guests, all spanish! The same because the food is good and big portions. We will go somewhere else tonight.
