Step into Sri Lanka’s real wilderness to explore lakes, jungle and mountains, discovering the wildlife that lives within them. A journey into Gal Oya is one into the most untouched and unseen corner of Sri Lanka - not too many make that journey but none forget it. Our eco-lodge is nestled in beautiful protected jungle on the fringe of Gal Oya National Park. We’ve used natural, local materials to blend quietly with everything around us, creating an experience that lets you connect fully with this amazing place. We’ve explored, designed and tailored activities and journeys to show off the best of the park, its wildlife, our own jungle and the lifestyles built around it. From walks with local tribespeople to sunset boat safaris, take your pick and start exploring. From the earliest design sketches to placing the last layer of roofing thatch, we’ve come to understand and look to limit the physical, environmental impact of our being here. We’ve also worked to bring some positive changes, supporting research initiatives to better understand and protect the wildlife in and around Gal Oya National Park.
