The most satisfying part of staying at Happy Beach Resort is the beach. They have a calm and beautiful private beach. We stayed with a friend in a room with a sea view, and it was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you don't need luxury but enjoy the sea. They have a good restaurant, too.

This is the place to go if you want a place that has its own little beach and is steps away from the crowds. We had a great time staying here. The rooms were quite basic but this is Sri Lanka. It had a large bed which was very comfortable and an adequate bathroom with a shower. If you wanted breakfast or beverages during the day it had a restaurant. The beach is at the far end of unawatuna but close enough to get to the resort either in 5 minutes along the beach or by taxi. The owner was very kind and generous. We had our own sunbed and it was steps away from the beach where you could go snorkeling.

It's a lovely hotel with nice staff and no issues. Wonderful breakfast served directly by the sea. There is a lovely and peaceful beach there. The main beach in Unawatuna, which has many restaurants and bars, is only a short walk away. Vijay Beach, where huge turtles swam with you, can be reached in the opposite direction.

I give 55 for the service when we stayed here for two nights. The guys here are kind and gracious, distributing drinks and refreshments without charge or additional cost. Breakfast is also superior to those served at more expensive places. The hotel has its own private quiet spot on the quieter portion of the beach, and the location is on the tranquil coast. Although not the ideal location for swimming, it is still pleasant. The standard room has only one tiny window and is somewhat dim and lacked appealingness. Due to its proximity to the main road, it is also a little noisy. However, it is immaculately clean! It would be better if we stayed in a beachfront room, and the location would be perfect in every way with small improvements, such as better lighting, fresh paint, and contemporary lighting. Whatever the cost and the men there, I give 45!.

Stayed in Sri Lanka for two weeks, and this place made our holiday unforgettable. It was fantastic. We had a lovely room directly in front of our own private beach which is a short walk from Unawatuna Beach. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, our host was continually sweeping the sand off our terrace. We had European breakfast, but one morning, our host asked if we wanted a Sri Lankan breakfast, and the following morning he made it especially for us. Nothing was too much trouble, we were well spoilt. The beach was right in front of our room, and we spent many happy hours snorkeling with the turtles swimming next to us. I cannot speak highly enough about this place, it's great value for money. I'll go back, please.
