Every member of staff that we met from arrival to departure was fantastic. Very polite, courteous & extremely helpful. Catered for all our needs. We booked this place last minute due to having to change our original plan (Kandy & Ella) because of the recent Cyclone. Although Lagoon Gate can appear a little isolated it is an absolute gem as you are in and amongst nature & right on the Lagoons edge. It is so easy to get out & about, the staff will order Tuk Tuks or Taxis for you or if you feel adventurous you have free use of bikes which we made full use of. Also, the hotel provides use of Kayaks to use on the Lagoon. The rooms are spacious & very clean overlooking Rekawa Lagoon. We had evening meals in the hotel on several occasions & I have to say, the authentic Sri Lankan Curry was outstanding! Breakfast is delightful with a good choice & freshly made. Would definitely recommend this place. Arrived as guests, left as friends!

The property is located quite far from the main road and I'll be honest, the access road isn't great. But that being said, once you get there, you don't want to leave. The rooms are big and very spacious. We booked the family triple room and it was huge and very comfortable. Pool was clean and inviting. You can use the kayaks at any time and go onto the lagoon. The staff are excellent and so polite. Food at the restaurant too was really good. Shout out to Lalith, Shaan and the Chef. You'll made it a memorable stay.

The best stay in south. I love it. Large room, eco garden with singing birds everywhere. They maintain very standard accommodations. The room is very large and spacious. comfortable beds.

This place is my winter trip with my girlfriend. I'm really a Sri Lankan who lives in Korea. This hotel I found on TripAdvisor and I always use it. This is my favorite spot to supper. The best kayak tour I've ever been on. We also went on the best boat tour. They make delicious rice and curry that I have eaten for a long time. Thank you, lagoon gate.

We had a great experience here. My choice of accommodation was a kayak. Thanks to the positive feedback, the reservation was quick. I went to Lagoon Gate a couple of days ago and used the kayak every day. This is a great place to observe turtles. This place offers excellent service. The sunny days were pleasant.

This is the last place I have visited. The owner is very kind and they do a very good job, this place is beautiful and has lots of birds. Also, every day there is a kayak tour. They are very attentive. We are very happy that this is the best place for family time.

The kayak was so reasonable. We had a great time doing the kayak tour because the atmosphere was so wonderful. And then, this place has a really amazing place, that's all we need. Subsequently, the location of this place is very near to the harbor. Besides that, it was peaceful because the atmosphere here was so lively.
