In order to stay with our family in their mountain house, we had to find another place to stay but the family was all sick so we had to look for other accommodation. The staff member named Maria was so friendly and helped us plan our accommodation and after our situation she held us room for 4 nights with room space on the top floor. The hotel is close to the town center, restaurants, and the Funicula Railway, which goes up to the top of the mountains. We could have had a buffet breakfast at the overnight rate and chose the in-house restaurant for dinner on every night we went there.

We recently relocated from the usa to a tiny town in Norway, a two-hour journey from Funesdalen. The hotel and the spa have been superb, and the beautiful and cozy restaurant is the ideal option for relaxing. And make sure you stay long enough to experience the fantastic trails in the neighborhood for skiing, biking, and hiking. We enjoyed the delightful area of Sweden with my husband.

We had a great time during our summer stay. We stayed with our one-year-old son. Overall, the staff was very helpful with any requests we had and quickly learned what we wanted. Very friendly atmosphere. Some flaws in the breakfast that was good but the juice was a bit bland. Nightclub is closed during summer which I believe added to the calm and family friendly atmosphere. Rooms were renovated in 2015 and held a very good standard. Quiet and comfortable beds. Bathroom okay. There is no elevator to second floor though. Did eat at the restaurant all nights with their half-pension package. Great food but wines were substandard on glass and no non-alcoholic wines for my pregnant wife. Good value for money is still my overall take. will definitely consider a return during the summer if in this area.

The location of this hotel is in a good, quiet area, with scenic views, lakes, wildlife, and many reindeers in the vicinity. The restaurant had good and well-prepared restaurant dishes. The staff was incredibly friendly. The buffet breakfast has a wide selection of top-notch products, including hot and cold food. You also can use the free access to the pool and spa jacuzzi.
