This was a great restaurant to find after our trip from Grindelwald to First on the gondola. Nice people, great selection. We enjoyed our coffee and the view was spectacular. The walk out over the edge can make your heart run if you want to, but its not too bad.4.8/57 Mar 2024

There are many negative reviews that have been left recently. The number of tourists seems to have overwhelmed them. Service is disjointed all around. Despite the fact that there was little information about the amenities or the halfboard, the staff made an effort to maintain a pleasant attitude while we had to wait to check in. Given how busy they were, i believe they performed well. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy the mountain to ourselves between 6 pm and 8.30 am. Because the premises werent cleaned properly, it earned ten stars. Outside our window, which was meant to offer opulent mountain views, there wasnt enough trash outside our windows window. On the terrace restaurant floor, trash was scattered everywhere. That is the fault of the tourist hordes who dont clean up after themselves. However, to do this specific job, cleaning the grounds, either more employees or additional employees should be hired by the hotel. We were happy to stay here overall.4.8/54 Feb 2024

The price is expensive considering the location, which is by Swiss standards. Just had a drink and the staff seemed fine. Selfservice seating is available both inside and outside. We sat inside because it was getting dark. Looks like i have stayed here before.4.6/526 Aug 2023

If you stay here, getting started with all four of your first adventures is simple. And it is a real treat to wake up to snowcovered mountains when you awaken. After 6 p. M., one may have the right of having the entire mountain to himself. On clear skies, nighttime stargazing is an absolute treat. One can go on numerous cliff walks without being surrounded by tourists. Its advisable to hike to lake Bachalpsee. There is dinner and i can add to the breakfast menu.4.6/510 Jan 2023

We were fortunate enough to have amazing views! We had selfservice and were able to enjoy the mountains and the sun from the bench. The rosti and thai red curry were delicious! The location is the best feature of this hotel, it has some of the nicest sights ive seen in a long time. Be aware that if you buy two tickets, you must purchase remuneration for extending your cable card return, as it is not valid overnight. The only thing that makes you want to forget about everything about the hotel and restaurant is the location and the view. We stayed here for 2 nights, booked a dormitory room and there were only ten people in the room. The staff was nice and confusing at times with the service. When we asked to borrow an adaptor for charging, no one had it. Food is very expensive, 1 sausage with french fries costs 21 euros. Good hike and good beer. We took the gondola ride to berggasthaus and had a nice beer here about 5 euros. It was packed on the weekend because it was saturday, but there were also seats for selfhelp. Gondol rides both ways or multiple rides with one activity cost us 74 euros per person, which was worth the experience but maybe i was kind of expensive.4.4/511 May 2023

After 5 minutes in essen, we were asked to leave the table because it was necessary for a group. There was no reserved sign or any nice information from the waiter. As swiss, i have never experienced pure mass processing with subpar food! Had a great time at this place while eating raclette here. During the christmas season, enjoying swiss rattle with vistas was an amazing experience. The staff was really friendly. I heartily suggest trying the ice cream and espresso combo.4.2/523 Apr 2023
