The hotel is in an amazing historic building in the traditional style of the region. It is right on the river (Seerhein) by the Gottlieben stop of the Konstanz - Schaffhausen boat Service. The restaurant is on a terrace right above the water with a nature reserve opposite. Good at the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was served on the terrace below and included local specialities. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The place is quiet at night. There is a small lido nearby where we went swimming in the Rhine. There are several cafes and other excellent restaurants in Gottlieben apart from this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back after the extensive renovation planned for October 2021 to about 2023

We stayed in the hotel which is located in a small cozy and authentic town 5 minutes drive from Konstanz. The hotel is very historic and the rooms are in a completed style. We'll be back

Schon die Vorabinformationen durch die Hoteladministration per eMail waren freundlich und hilfreich. Das Haus ist traditionsbewusst, entsprechend gemütlich ist das Ambiente. Zum Hotel gehört ein gepflegtes Restaurant. Die Lage am Wasser ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Und zum Abschied gab es noch eine kleine Erinnerung an das Hotel. Übrigens auch die Nähe zur Insel Reichenau und zu Konstanz sind zu erwähnen.

Le site et la vue sont extraordinaires. Le lieu est parfaitement silencieux. Par contre: le matelas était un peu défoncé et la chambre n'a pas été faite le second jour alors que rien ne s'y opposait puisque nous avons été absents toute la journée dès 8h00. Le personnel est serviable et accueillant.

Die absolut vorbildliche gastfreundschaft in allen belangen macht das leicht in die jahre gekommene zimmer mehr als wett. Die lage ist traumhaft schön und die athmosphäre im und ums haus sehr wohlig. Sehr feine küche :-)

It's a bit out of the way without a car. Trains are a 10 min walk away. That said, once on it, it's literally just a couple minutes to Kreuzlingen and Konstanz. But the 20 min journey on the Schiff from Konstanz to Gottliebien is scenic too.

Agradable estancia en este hotel muy espacioso y cómodo, las camas son grandes y tienen sábanas que abrigan mucho para noches de frío. Los muebles son rústicos y algo antiguos, sin embargo la TV es una Samsung moderna con mucha variedad de canales(aunque no todos en abierto). Ese contraste entre lo rústico y lo moderno es lo que da el encanto a este hotel.

Beautiful old hotel. I overslept 2 hours more than usual so I missed breakfast but that being said, it was very quiet and I got an obviously much needed good night of sleep. Quiet location.
