A truly memorable stop in this charming schweiz town, i would not recommend staying at the restaurant protectionen. This restaurant is surrounded by the picturesque backdrop of the Swiss Alps. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms need a lot of improvement as they are below average. The restaurant has a delicious selection of swiss beers and a vegan platter that will satisfy your taste buds. A haven for vegans, the vegan platter at hotel protectionen is a musttry. A medley of grilled vegetables, fresh salads and french fries create a symphony of flavors and textures, showcasing the chefs culinary creativity. A unique vegan platter and selection of swiss beers, rugen brau, provide a unique culinary experience that seamlessly blends the flavors of the country with a focus on plants.

The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking. Thats the photo i am listing. The restaurant was fine, but expensive, as is typical of switzerland. The manager was very nice. Parking was onsite and very easy. Did i mention the view? The rooms were fine, but make sure you get a room with a private bathroom.

I have a good view from the patio where most people sit. I got the potato sausage and beer, it was really good. I think many reviews mention the hotel and the poor service. The service was fast and decent for us, would come back. I have never stayed at a hotel, but i have stayed nearby.

The hotel is centrally located on the main street in the village. Free parking. The hotel has a nice restaurant attached. Major ca accepted. Overall, this place definitely deserves more stars. We ordered two different rostis curry and bratwurst, and they were quite delicious. The portion size was large and the taste was great. The staff were nice, although they were quite busy, which was understandable given that there were only two serving so many customers.

Dont stay here. Beautiful view of the waterfall from your balcony, directly above the smoking area. This hotel has 20-30 rooms, only 4 have the amazing view of the waterfall that you see in the photos. And when sitting on the balcony trying to enjoy the view, you just smell people smoking below you. To the hotel, put your smoking area elsewhere, but below your 4 premium rooms with the coveted view. People who are lucky enough to get one of these 4 rooms with the view are more likely to leave a review.
