The staff are so friendly and helpful, there’s a nice vibe and the guests are happy also! … in particular I was observing marc the receptionist jolly conversation with an old English gentleman… it was nice… and there’s a chocolate fountain at the door.

The location of the Swiss Chocolate Hotel was great, just a 5 to 10 minute walk from the train station. The Polybahn (funicular that takes you up the hill with views overlooking the city) was just a two minute walk around the corner. There are many restaurants and shops throughout the old town. The friendly hotel staff provided us with excellent restaurant suggestions. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Incredibly close to the Zurich HB train station, so getting in from the Zurich airport was so easy. We had our luggage held while we walked through old town and found something to eat. Housekeeping staff was phenomenal and we were able to check in a little earlier and got to grab a couple of hours of sleep before we ventured out again!! We would definitely stay here again.

A sweet hotel dedicated to Swiss chocolate. 4 walking minutes from the main train station, in the old town (Niederdorf).

Are you planning a city trip for the weekend or are you looking for a place to stay in the city centre? The new Swiss Chocolate Hotel was built in 2021 and is located in the heart of Zurich – only a 4-minute walk from the main station – at the gateway to the old town (Niederdorf).

The location is perfect for discovering the diversity of the city. You can easily reach Zurich’s famous Bahnhofstrasse, numerous restaurants and bars, Lake Zurich, the Grossmünster and other exciting sights on foot.

During your stay, immerse yourself in architecture and décor inspired by the fabulous history of Swiss chocolate: From the cocoa forests to the chocolate bar, without forgetting the pioneers of production. Already at the reception, all gourmets are warmly welcomed with our chocolate fountain.

We re-imburse to our guests who book directly with us, the price of the train or tram ticket from the main station or from the Airport. (direct single ticket, no daypass) Please give us your ticket at the check-in.

Free access to the fitness room of our By Fassbind hotels. Either the Swiss Night approx 1km away or the Züri By Fassbind including sauna. Jogging access along the Limmat river and over the car free “Viadukt”, approx 2,6 km.
