Although the hotel is fairly decent, it can be confusing to see two kao yuan hotels in a rural area. The Kao yuan hong shan hotel was close to some convenience stores and was situated in a quieter lane from the main road. The train station was a brief bus ride away, and for guests interested in renting a car, they provided free parking. There is a jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom, which is the one drawback of this hotel.

A pleasant stay. We made last-minute reservations for this hotel because Taiwan had experienced a tropical storm and it was no longer possible to get up to sing. The Taichung her was a 30-minute drive away. There appears to be not much nearby, so I honestly have no idea about the location. The hotel's vicinity gave me the impression that Taichung was a really run-down town with few malls. We discovered after talking with a local in Taipei that we were most probably not in the city center itself, but it didn't matter since we weren't preparing to shop. We weren't expecting to go shopping because the hotel looks to have been renovated, despite the fact that all the rooms are double rooms. Not even twin rooms. Rooms with different views also have a distinct layout and size. My room at 303 appeared quite large than the others at 301 and 302. There was only one miserable power outlet to charge my electronics, which was good. The toilets were all bathtub-type, and you can tell they have been around for a while. This is a plus. Like the crowd was predominantly Chinese. To the congee, most of the cuisine was a complement. Bread and some cereal were the only continental options. Since there were a lot of meals to choose from, I thoroughly enjoyed the congee. The closest place to eat is around

The room was clean, the parking space was free, and the bed was comfortable. It meets all my criteria for a comfy stay in Taichung. This is hidden in the corner one street back from the main road, making the room much quieter, but not inconvenient.
