For what I thought was a reasonable price during a highdemand time for attending a wedding, we reserved a night at the trendy, minimalist boutique hotel a week earlier on hotels. Com. The bed was firmer than Id like, which is typical of Taiwan, and even a luxury hotel in Taipei is not immune to this issue, and there was a shortage of plates when we got there for breakfast. Our apartment was perfectly adequate for one night and equipped with everything we needed a refrigerator, four bottles of water, an electric tea kettle, ample room for our carryon luggage, a flyscreen TV, and a desk. The linens and the bathroom appeared to be very white, chubby, and clean. Given that the wedding had been held outdoors in unusually warm weather, the air conditioning was greatly appreciated. There was a tiny buffet of mostly Taiwanesestyle breakfast choices like rice porridge with sweet potato and typical porridge toppings, steamed rice, stirred noodles, numerous tofu and vegetable dishes, chicken nuggets, and steamed eggs at breakfast the following day. Toast and steamed buns were also available. Only coffee and tea were available. My two primary concerns about the hotel were only minor. The bed was firmer than Id like, although this is generally true of Taiwan, and even a taipei luxury
