The hotel is conveniently located by the beach and on the bridge. We frequently ate there at the nearby Army Thai restaurant and dozens of bars. All the modern air conditioning rooms were clean and furnished with a small balcony where you could watch the world go by. Breakfast was straightforward and consisted of toast, cereal, preserves, eggs, frankfurter sausages, plenty of tea, coffee, and orange juice. A safe is available at the front desk and is accessible 24 hours a day. I wouldn't define it as quiet, but it is anywhere in the neighborhood, and you get accustomed to it. There is a tiny rooftop pool with showers and toilets. Unfortunately, only two sunbeds exist, one of which is broken, and you must be creative and swift as you attempt to board the other! There are also some tables and chairs, but there are no parasols, and youre going to get really hot there. If the pool area weren't a thought and the proprietors had spent a few pes to make this area pleasant for visitors, I would have given this four stars.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel room is very clean and the room is spacious, with good hot water pressure which is unusual in Thailand. The rooftop pool and view are great, and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good, but there were some drawbacks.

It's reasonable to expect from a budget hotel, and its staff is friendly. It was jammed inside for 30 minutes, and it was only closed for 5 people. Their room is tiny, and the toilet is spotless. No toothbrush is supplied. Breakfast is the same every day: 1 sausage, bread, 2 eggs, and bacon. Quiet but near to nightlife. Couple of minutes walk to Juniceylon Mall and Bangle Street along the beach area.

My wife and I stayed at the 88 Hotel near the beach for a few days. It's an inexpensive hotel that's clean and not too far from the beach. The rooms weren't too big but we didn't spend much time in the room so it was a perfect place to sleep, shower and go out again. It has some nice views of the city at night from it's level which includes a pool. Friendly staff that was helpful. Price 800 baht about $28 a night with a $500 $1 deposit for the safety box key at the front desk.
