I had a wonderful stay here! The sisters that live at and manage this residence and incredibly kind and accommodating. They were helpful with making plans and giving ideas as to where to go and what to do locally. I felt very at home here and would recommend to anyone staying extended periods of time.

This place is amazing. So cute and out of the main area so it’s very quiet. The lady who runs it is amazing as well and so friendly and so Informative with a great personality. She’s also hilarious. The common area always had fruit and water, and for breakfast they always offer bread and spreads. Kitchen and fridge is for communal use and it’s surround by a really nice garden aesthetic. There are three cute dogs too that greet you and it’s secure as the gate is always a lock in and out situation. It’s like a little home away from home if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. Rooms are simple and very clean. Great value for the price .

Baan Song Jum Homestay is very convenient in terms of going to the old city, as you can walk your way through it or take the red vans that would cost around 30 bhat/each. But if you prefer to ride, it's best to book grab or uber to avoid inconsistent fare whenever the red van drivers recognizes that you're a tourist. You have to walk just a few meters from the road to the location. This what makes the place peaceful and quiet. It's not literally beside the roadside, keeping all the noise out. The room is very nice, clean, and airconditioned. Bathroom is well maintained and clean. They have heater for the showers and bidet for the toilet. Help yourself for free breakfast with bread, egg, coffee and some jams. They have a big dining area outside the kitchen enough for you to sit anywhere you want, but we preferred staying inside the kitchen. 😂 Ofcourse, you must clean as you go. The owner (Nui) is very accomodating and helpful. She would recommend places to visit and provide details on how to get there and how to get back. She would make you feel like you're really part of their family, always with warm welcome 😊 As a tourist, if you're looking for a place that would give you a good night sleep and a nice hot shower, I would recommend this place. After all, you'll be spending the day out and would just need to have enough rest to go out again.

The most helpful staff, made us feel like home. The grounds are serene and calm in the middle of the hustle and bustle city. The old city is within walking distance as is the big mall. There is a food market and fruit market within blocks of the homestay. The night market is just around the corner of the food market. Every time we left for an adventure the staff had helpful advice on how to get there. The cheapest and safest ways to travel around. My girlfriend was sick and the owner gave her something for her stomach. They were very helpful.

My wife and I stayed at the Homestay for a week and enjoyed our stay very much. The location is nice because you are close enough to walk to everything, yet not so close that you have to battle throngs of people and traffic at all hours - a solace in what can be a bustling city. Roughly 15-20 minute walk to the gate with lots to see on the way (or a USD $2 cab ride for those in a hurry). The conditions are simple but comfortable. Rooms have A/C, fast wifi and enough outlets to charge multiple devices. No TVs, which we saw as a plus/unnecesary. There is also a central courtyard for relaxing, eating and socializing where the host mom can be found at nearly all hours. As others have mentioned, the owner is the key asset to this place. She provided invaluable information, in great English, and was able to provide advice and schedule trips that we absolutely could not have done without her help. Overall, we got what we expected and more. The Homestay is a true value and great way to get a deeper understanding of the culture.

In this old Th you can feel like staying at home. It is not an luxurios home, but the wonderful garden and the warm welcom.-lfge makes it worth staying here.

I had no idea what to expect from this place upon booking and frankly was a little put off by how weird it was getting in. There's and old and faded sign with the establishment's name on the front gate, so wasn't easy to find the entrance. I was also greeted by barking dogs upon arrival. I love dogs, so it's not a problem for me, but if you're allergic or don't like them then this place isn't realy for you. The welcome was very nice, the lady running the place is very lovely, attentive and caring, she sat down and chatted with everyone, so I for one got the feeling of staying at the Thai grandmother I never knew I had :) She and her sister were also very helpful and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was very basic with bread and a few jars of jam. There was coffee+tea and fruits available at all time.

What a lovely place! Very homey and comfortable. The location is a bit off center, but wasn't much of an issue for us. Preparing our own breakfast was actually fun after traveling for a long time, and there were always tasty fruits to enjoy. The owner is super nice and very helpful.

주인분들의 환대와 친절함이 돋보였습니다. 그러나 위치상 넘 외진 곳이어서 식사나 쇼핑을 위한 이동성에 있어서 불편하였습니다.

Noi and her son Pen were very helpful and provided a good map of Chiang Mai. The homestay has a peaceful communal area. Eggs, bread, jam and hot drinks are provided for you to prepare in the kitchen for breakfast.
