We really enjoyed our time at Faye Orchid Resort and can definitely recommend staying there! The rooms are tucked away from the main road, and surrounded by beautiful and peaceful scenery. The pool is in the middle with lots of seating around to enjoy. Close to many restaurants and easy to walk near by to find something great to eat. The room was clean, the wifi worked well, the aircon was great. I would definitely come back to stay again!

It was a very pleasant stay. Beautiful garden and secluded bungalows. Very good price and very nice staff, especially the manager. Near the beach but doesn’t have beach access. A short walk and you can see beautiful sunset on the beach. Great experience.

Det er et fint lille sted, hyggeligt, stille by, dog er stranden ikke den bedste, men rart sted at bo hvis man er til rolige og stille omgivelser, personalet er rigtigt søde og der bliver gjort rent hver dag, det var dog lidt slidt, men forfald kan osse have en hvis charme, vi nød at være der og der er et par gode spisesteder og indkøbsmuligheder i den lille by. Vi hyggede og det skal siges at der er kun 5 min kørsel til lonely beach hvis man vil ha party og gode strande og så ligger det osse ret tæt på fisherman villige og endnu bedre strande long beach men alt i alt godt.

Some of the best service I received in Thailand. Just a fantastic place to stay- the properties themselves are good/fair. My bungalow had some worn out details and my A/C leaked but it was an incredible value really. If I come back to Thailand I’ll stay there again. I can’t say the same for most places I stayed

Ich bin mit einer Freundin gereist (beide Anfang 30ig). Das Kwaimaipar Orchid Resort Spa & Wellness ist eine sehr schöne Anlage. Sehr, sehr nettes Personal (teilweise auch deutschsprachig).Dickes Lob noch einmal an das Personal vor Ort !!! Total gemütlich die Anlage, die Abends zum Verweilen einlädt. Sehr leckeres und preisgünstiges thailändisches Essen. Die kleinen Holzbungalows sind gemütlich aber man darf nicht zu viel Luxus erwarten. Auf jeden Fall mit Mückenspray versorgen, da sehr viele Tierchen vor Ort sind. Wir waren 2 Nächte da, dafür vollkommen okay. Frühstücksbuffet klein aber fein. Hotel liegt etwas ab vom Schuss, dafür sind aber sehr sehr schöne Strände im Umkreis(auch White Sand Strände). Zum Relaxen und Schwimmen geradezu perfekt. Wir haben über das Resort eine 7 stündige Tracking Tour gebucht (mit Kohchang Trekking), welche sehr zu empfehlen ist. Aber auf jeden Fall festes Schuhwerk und lange Hosen anziehen). Die Massagen vor Ort sind sehr zu Empfehlen, hier ebenfalls ein dickes Lob an die beiden Damen. Allem in Allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt im Kwaimaipar Orchid Resort.

We stayed here for two nights in March. It was lovely, quiet and relaxing -- not at all the touristy beach nightmare that you can find on some Thai islands. The service was excellent -- friendly and helpful staff made our time at the resort pleasant and were very happy to make suggestions and recommendations about the surrounding areas. The rooms, while "cozy", are well-maintained, clean and comfortable. The restaurant is relaxing and the complimentary breakfast satisfying. Nearby Lisca Beach is a 5 minute walk away, though it's more pebbly and low-key than its cousins to the north -- you won't find white sands or a bustling resort scene here. However the beach is very relaxing and charming for a morning walk or an evening stroll. Nearby Lonely Beach is just a short "songteaw" (covered pickup truck) ride away if you want postcard-esque Thai beaches and lots of restaurants. The cute Bang Bao fishing village is about as far away by songteaw and is a nice place to shop for souvenirs or have a lavish seafood dinner. Of course if you're adventurous enough to rent a motorbike (about 250 baht per day plus gas I think) then the whole island is yours. All and all a good value, a charming little place with truly sweet and professional staff, in a tranquil part of Koh Chang near enough to the tourist spots to feel like you're on holiday, but far enough away from them that you'll have some peace and quiet. Recommend.

We stayed here during the off-season. We were essentially the only person at the resort, which was wonderful. The routes to the bungalows are lovely, with a lot of plants and trees. The facilities weren't the best, we had to switch bungalows on the second day because the electrics failed. The staff was very friendly and they agreed to negotiate with us with the room price. Beach, stores, and restaurants are all within 26 minutes of walking distance. The hotel is approximately an 40-minute drive from the ferry, and it's better to drive further into the island than to choose the next best hotel when you arrive, we didn't make reservations in advance, instead, we made reservations upon arrival. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would say the bungalows are basic but commendable.

We reserved this at the end of season because we were alone and really enjoy it! The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The bungalow was ideal and located just 3 meters from the lovely pool and the beach is also around the corner but if you rent a motorcycle, what you will do anyway, you will quickly find yourself favouring one. Fortunately, the only thing we can't recommend is the opposite street restaurant.

This is neither a resort nor a three-star hotel. We stayed one night there and drank 7200 baht for two rooms. Even though we made the last-minute reservation, the cost was unreasonable. Although everything seemed as clean as they probably could have made it, it didn't feel like it because everything began to look dirty, like tape on the shelf, the wall, and so on. The staff was friendly and repaired a damaged air conditioner in one of the rooms, and the water was free. The pool was shabby and nothing that makes it a resort. The paths were full of leaves and outdated, and the outdoor shower was filthy. I would have understood everything if the price for 2 rooms had gone around 300 and was a 2 star hotel.
