This place is in the middle of sandakan. The food is delicious. If you dont mind the dirty washroom area, thats acceptable. You can book a staycation for a short trip.

The rooms are excellent and a step up. The staff is extremely helpful. The view is lovely. I have to return in the winter. And i typically reside in the mountains, but its pretty here. I would love to hit the shops because it is so close to the resort.

We had 5 people in our party. We didnt stay at the northstar village, but we all enjoyed skiing and snowboarding at this resort. We were lucky enough to go on vacation for a week after the blizzard in march 2024 hit.

Ive been going here for about three years now and wanted to give you a review of the mountain. This is an amazing place to learn how to ski and snowboard. Its also a great place to learn park riding. The runs are very easy. The village is nice for families and those who want to relax and have a drink. However, if you are an avid skier or snowboarder, i would avoid this place. The lines on weekends are far too long to run more than 8 runs per day, and the grooming and lack of steep runs will become annoying. Its definitely more of a Disneyland experience than a real mountain. The food prices are also some of the highest ive ever seen. Watching all the ski teams skip the lines while waiting 20-30 minutes to get on the lift really ruins the stoke as well. This place would be chill on weekdays, but unless it was the end of the season, i wouldnt bother with this place on a weekend.

I had a great time and will definitely return. This ski resort is a great place for beginners because it has many trails, and while they appear busy, the lines move quickly. The big easy and village run are the best for beginners.

This place is a user of the bunny hill and easy slope. Its a great place, a bit crowded at times, but you can enjoy it. It may take a while to get on the buses, but the waits arent too long.

You will have a memorable experience at northstar! I recommend spending the weekend exploring tacoma. From the main lodge, you ride a gondola up to the peak, which feels immersive and enjoyable. There are plenty of resting lodges with food and drink on the mountain, and different levels of slope difficulty for athletes of all kinds.

I had a great time with my son at this amazing place. Its not close to any shopping centers. There is one store there that charges an arm and a leg for things, so make sure you hit the safe way in truckee so you have food in your room. The pool was great, and the movie theater was cool. The only downside is that there are many seats and you reserve them for your family only. You cant walk into someone elses movie. The staff was also cool.

The location is perfect, just off the highway between tacoma and truckee. Great parking options, friendly staff, and clean facilities. We enjoy staying at northstar a couple of times a year.

I had a great time snowboarding and skiing here. There is something for everyone on this intermediate mountain. Fantastic apres and ice skating to cap off the day! Make reservations and dont get a day locker for $20!.

Situated at mile 4 of sandakan, surrounded by shops, launderettes, banks, and restaurants, all within walking distance. There is ample parking. The room is clean and has a balcony. However, the room is a bit dim, and it would be better if it was slightly brighter.

Nice ski resort. The atmosphere is great and very friendly to snowboarders. Beautiful view of the lake from the peak. Runs are easy, so very beginner friendly.

The hotel spa service was excellent and reasonably priced. Surrounded by many amenities just a short walk away. The room feels like a fivestar hotel. Had a very pleasant 2 night stay.

Excellent ski resort with excellent runs and snow! It was quite enjoyable to try out the park features and a half pipe! My snowboard, challenger, set a new speed record, going 52.5 mph!.
