I stayed at this guesthouse for 3 nights. Emails sent before arrival, such as room inquiries, directions, etc., were quick and responsive. Ahmed was incredibly helpful during the check-in and easy to answer all of my queries. The standard room with 2 beds was clean and comfortable. The guesthouse is conveniently located within walking distance of all the major attractions in Old Istanbul, and there are bus and train stops nearby. A delicious Turkish breakfast was arranged in a terrace room with a sea view! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to value-seeking travelers!.

We had a wonderful time with our family of 3 who stayed for 2 nights. The location is excellent, the staff is really helpful, and the breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh fruits, dry fruits, and salads. The bathroom and the room are both tidy and of a reasonable size. As and when requested, fresh towels are provided. Right after booking, we made our communication via Whatsapp, which helped us organize. During our stay, the staff assisted us with food orders, taxis, and other necessary services on their own mobile phone. The absence of lifts is the only drawback. Barbara Guesthouse will definitely be our first choice for our next stop in Istanbul.

I had a great day at Barbara House, the setting is lovely and clean, and the rooms are exactly as they appear in the pictures. I really liked that there was always someone at the reception at any hour of the day or night. It was also lovely to have a breakfast on the terrace with a fantastic view. I'd without a doubt suggest it to a friend! I expect to visit Istanbul again soon.

Friendly and helpful staff including for taxi booking. Central location to many main tourist attractions with good value, nice decor and travel guides in the lobby.
