The Anderita Beach Hotel offers an excellent value. It's a short distance from the airport, its own restaurant plus proximity to several others, walking distance from the Victoria Mall, and is just across the road from the lake. The staff are cordial and efficient, and rooms are spotlessly clean.

I stayed here both before and after my Uganda Gorilla safari. I loved the location with Lake Victoria across the dirt road - view from my second floor balcony was gorgeous. The staff always was helpful and very pleasant - they always sent someone to fix things when something did not work which was frequent as property is older. If you can manage with very basic amenities and just want an inexpensive hotel with friendly staff and a postcard view, do stay at Anderita Beach!

Make certain you get a room on the upper level with a view of Lake Victoria - view is like a postcard with a wonderful balcony. Very friendly helpful staff. Walk across the dirt road to have dinner or drinks on the edge of the lake - the hotel has its outdoor restaurant there. There is also a pizza place next to the hotel dining.

The service is good, the location is good, and a lovely hotel. The staff is nice. However, they didn't seem empowered to be customers first. Need to be more creative to solve problems. Toilet door does not latch. Phone does not work at night. The key to the door is difficult to use but still nice additions like a fridge, fan, air conditioner and bed net.

It's an unpleasant experience. We arrived late on a delayed flight, but the driver from Understa was waiting. I arrived at the hotel quickly, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. The room was clean but there were no glass cups for water. The lake view is breathtaking from the terrace. The surprise credit card machine didn't work when we checked out, which I don't think seems normal for Uganda, where they advertise that they accept money, but the machine is broken or the cat destroys it or. This stinks hotel as a result, the breakfast is also adequate but bring cash I had planned to reserve 3 nights with them, but due to this ca issue I will find somewhere else, which is a shame because the staff is so nice and the room is fine.

The hotel itself was basic but it also had a good view of the lake. And that's it, we didn't need credit cards to order it. The breakfast is pretty basic. After that, the staff was pleasant, and the shuttle provided was very free.
