We also celebrated our anniversary here tonight. I can honestly say that I can't complain about anything. The food was delicious, the staff was very attentive and attentive to detail. We give credit where it deserves to be because it was a lovely evening. Many reviews mention wedding guests mixing with restaurant guests, but I honestly thought this added to the happy atmosphere. A beautiful grand piano in the restaurant that my husband played some tunes on. All in all a beautiful night at Birth Castle. Thank you for everything.

On August 8, 2016, my self and a total of 65 people attended Birth Castle for our Jaguar Meet event. For a get together breakfast meet run event, we brought 35 cars. Nothing was too much trouble for Samantha and her staff, from ear marking a special slot in the parking lot for the vehicles, tea, coffee, and juice upon arrival, to a delicious breakfast that was raved about by everyone. The weather played its part and the sun was shining, the castle looked great in the late morning sun, and we were fortunate enough to bring the vehicles together in front for a photo opportunity. I would not recommend going here unless for a wedding or a spa day alone. We stayed here for a spa weekend, arrived expecting a lovely relaxing weekend in a castle and immediately realized that we were utterly mistaken. The rooms are a touch outdated but are clean and tidy. Other amenities are also satisfactory. The food was reasonably good but not what you would expect from a luxury hotel. They are clearly understaffed, and most of the staff they do have are barely trained but do their best. On top of that, every day there was a wedding, not a problem if wedding guests are in their own area not mixing in with regular hotel guests, but this is not the case at this hotel. There is no designated wedding area other than the ballroom for dinner and dance, so while all the guests are waiting for the meal and dance, the normal guest bar and restaurant takes up nearly the entire space. Both days, the wedding guests disrupted our lunch and dinner, they caused queues at the only hotel bar accessible to regular hotel guests they had their own dedicated bar but were obviously free to use the other one, drinks running out, kids running around the restaurant area while people were eating. It seems that this hotel completely prioritizes weddings and their guests, and regular paying hotel guests are an afterthought, which is unfortunate because it is not cheap to stay a weekend. First class food reception staff couldn't do enough and wait staff and my little cleaner it was a shame on arrival my room was totally run down fixtures curtains hanging off rail 3 main side lights out but the duty manager gave me another room
