Had a fantastic stay in the Edelweisse suite for part of our honeymoon tour of the lakes. Room was spotless and awesome. Fantastic facilities in the room, difficult to choose between hot tub or spa bath, so alternated between the two. Batj may have edged it due to TV! Comfortable bed and sofa. Breakfast was ordered the evening before and brought to our room, and was delicious!

The property was very nice as were the staff. The cabin we had was very secluded and was lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly and were always happy to help.

We stayed in the penthouse suite and it was amazing, everything was perfect and all of the staff were fantastic. Never felt so welcome at any other hotel. We will definately return again

Stayed here for my wedding anniversary and loved every aspect of it. From check in to check out the staff were friendly, attentive and polite. The hotel is clean, tidy and well presented. The room itself was of the same standard. The one downside - it was very hot and could do with air con, give them their due, a fan is placed in the room but it is really noisy so you have a choice of heat or noise. We only ate breakfast at the hotel as we were out and about, but it was excellent. Plenty of choice ranging from fruit to full cooked, all was very well prepared and presented. Easily within walking distance to Bowness and all its facilities, however, be cautious of the roads as there are limited footpaths! Best option is right out the car park and head down to the lakeside, far safer in my opinion.

Room was nice and clean, towels which were made into swans was a nice touch, more towels could have been supplied especially with having a hot tub, no bathroom amenities I asked reception and they said due to the Christmas/new year they had no supply. Not what to expect when this Aphrodite’s was one of the pricier accommodations we were looking at. Not to the standard we had expected. Breakfast was delivered to our room each morning, food was good. The hallway had a musky smell.

Great place with amazing facilities. Private hot tub, hot room and monsoon shower made our stay a weekend to remember. Only downside was that it was expensive and a bit noisy at times . Local area was beautiful and lots to do and visit

Nice, clean room. However the guest handbook not up to date as, it says “ room service”. I rang down to reception and they don’t do room service to the room I stayed at . So misleading in a way. Due to not having room services I had to go into Windermere town centre every day/evening to have my meals . Staff didn’t show me to the room , nor helped me with my suitcase. You have to pay for the spa packages which were around £97+. I don’t think I will be returning to this hotel any time soon.

The description of the room we booked online did not match the room we actually got. The 'Love Nest' online showed an outdoor hot tub and a DVD player in the room. We actually got NO DVD player and a hot tub in the bathroom( which was so hot that the fan was on all night). There were no safety deposit boxes or newspapers and we were told that we couldn't use the robes in our room to go down to the pool.

Disappointed for the money it cost the room facilities were nice and we had a good time we were just let down by the service on the Saturday morning at breakfast we was asked by the waitress do we want some towels at the time i thought what a weird question to ask someone at breakfast so obviously being abit confused i said no thank you why would i want a towel at breakfast. Anyway we went back then went out for the day came back and are room hadnt been serviced at all we were left without towels and toilet roll and the room not cleaned and at that price its to be exspected anyway apparently me saying i dont want a towel at breakfast means i dont want my room servicing which is aload of rubbish. This place is overpriced and poorly staffed we will not be returning again or recommending

We stayed in the Love Haven which was lovely and we had a lovely stay but have to give a bad review on the basis we went to shower in the morning before check out and noticed water was dripping through one of the lights downstairs. We immediately turned it off due to health and safety. When we reported to reception we were told oh yeah maintenance know about it but it’s a big job. When I queried this being a health and safety issue, I did not get a response. They also did not seem bothered that we had not been able to shower before check out. This just ruined the whole stay that our safety had not been considered but it did not seem to be a problem for them

Definitely not worth £500.. checkin reception, Lack of information given about hotel and room. Not guided and advised where exactly our so called.sweet was as different building to hotel. No toothpaste, showercaps or essentials which you get in average hotels now days. No stocked mini fridge.. sauna was not even hot enough even after hour. Checkin 3pm but out by 10.30am, when requested can we leave 11.30am reception said will be £30 you would think £500.for less then 24hours was enough. Don't mind spending money but has to be worth it, This was not...average building

Arrived and greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our room where we only stayed for 2 nights. My partner tried to use the steam room inside the shower but it never worked, we were never instructed how to use it. Upon walking into the bathroom you are hit with a very heavy heat which is uncomfortable. Noticed a very small mouse dropping at side of door on the way to the bathroom but never fussed about it. On the a econd day we had our breakfast in bed for £5 each which seemed worth it and it was delicious, really good food. We spent the day mostly outside but when we returned we used the pool downstairs which was really nice, the sauna was great the steam room - which worked - was not bad either. We both noticed a jacuzzi-looking feature in the corner of the pool which when I entered was really dirty and had bits of black and green pieces floating about which put me off. When I returned to my room I found my skin irritated and itchy, not sure if it was the chlorine or just the overall cleanliness of the pool. After returning from dinner we came back to use the hot tub in the room which at first was slightly difficult to use as we had not been instructed how to use it. Once in and on it started to smell funny and only last for about 5 minutes. The tv next to the hot tub did not work, but didn’t matter as we never used the hot tub for long. Throughout the night there was a lot of creaking and noise, walls are very paper thin.
