I am stunned that this has over 50 rating of 1 star. Just to crash in for a gig, I made this a budget hotel reservation. I was supposed to check in at rp in the afternoon, but circumstances changed, so I called around noon to say I would be later and the hotel were very calm about this and said no problem because they had 24-hour service. I was astonished by those reviews when I eventually arrived at the hotel with very low expectations. This was a really large room, it was supposed to be a family room with one double and a sofa bed, but it was actually a king size and a double. Another critic on Trip Advisor was that the rooms were dirty with no electricity, and I saw nothing of it. The bath was a little strange as it made odd noises but was not loud enough to bother me. One reviewer recommended booking a premier inn instead. First of all, I doubt that it would be much better, but travelodge in Kings Cross was 250 per night. This is not a luxury hotel with its own parking, and compared to other hotels for the same price, it is a very worthwhile stay. If I ever need to stay in that area again, the arch would be the first option.

Parking on-site costs 15 euros per day. The room we were in had two double beds and a second room which was so comfy. The bathroom was a good size and in good condition. The kettle was small, so it only prepared beverages for 2 people. When we entered, the window was open, but there was no pole to close it, so we had to stand on the bed and try to close it. The blinds were so thin and linens that all light, including the sensor light, was right outside the room and lit up the whole apartment every time it went off. Because I was upstairs, I was able to put towels on the bannister and suitcases under them to block a little light. The church bells go off every hour, so if you're a light sleeper, I wouldn't stay here. The dressing table had no chair and the tiny light did nothing. We moved the lamp from the side table to use, although it could use a proper light. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of London for transportation. If some money was spent on it, this hotel would be ideal.
