Our second visit to Armathwaite and just as enjoyable as our first. From the moment we were welcomed in reception we felt right at home, and I immediately felt my stress levels drop! The team are excellent, always on hand to help and they enjoy a bit of banter too, there’s a real sense of fun and friendliness. Our waiter in particular was superb, he looked after us both nights as we tried the new Indian restaurant “Zaika”as well as in the Fine Dining Restaurant. Other meals were outstanding. (We didn’t catch his name, he’s been working at Bassenthwaite for 4 years, he told us he is originally from India, and very attentive!). Housekeeping were so efficient that our bedroom was freshened up whilst we had breakfast (overlooking spectacular gardens down to Bassenthwaite lake). Even the hotel cat was friendly! The environment and gardens are incredible, we were blessed with clear blue skies over the May Bank Holiday. Finally, the EV charging experience was very straightforward, and very reasonable. Our favourite Lakeland hotel, thank you to the team for such an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Very difficult to fault the Armathwaite Hall Hotel. We are used to superior accomodation in Cape Town , South Africa. This experience was truly exceptional. Maybe consider installing Nespresso machines in the rooms with Lavazza pods and safes if necessary. But then again their did not appear to be a need to change anything

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate. The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty of loungers. Looking forward to our next stay.

We stayed at Armathwaite Hall for one night and it was superb. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and little touches made our stay very memorable such as a glass of prosecco on arrival and a card and some chocolates in my room for my birthday. We stayed in a Club room which was very spacious. We ate in the dining room which was pricey but the food was exquisite so worth the money. We also made full use of the spa facilities which are just heavenly and very relaxing. I would thoroughly recommend Armathwaite Hall to anyone even if only for a one night birthday treat. Superb!

Had an amazing stay. Hotel,spa and grounds so lovely! Super, lovely garden room with views towards the lake!The staff here really do go above and beyond! Loved the spa with fantastic staff! The meal in the Grill was fantastic! Loved the real fires, especially in the great main Hall Highly recommend a stay here! Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay just after the New Year. The hotel is full of character, and the room we had was clean, spacious and well appointed. Service and food amazing. Not cheap but well worth the price given the experience we had.
