In between Christmas and New Years, we spent a few nights at the landowner. The lovely hotel reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel was incredibly welcoming, it did not feel at all cosy. We had our dog with us, and he was made to feel very welcome. We loved the little sitting area, where we could go out with our dog and have a drink without worrying about offending others who are not interested in dogs. Although the bartenders went a little slow at times, they were all very friendly and competent in their jobs. Our apartment was sufficient for two nights. Particularly the bathroom, it was a little worn out, but I wonder if they use these rooms if you have a dog, which I understand tbh if we were in a very luxurious newly decorated room, I would worry a little having a dog, even though he is well behaved. The only thing that made me uncomfortable, believe it or not, was that it was so hot everywhere. I wouldnt want their heating bill. We have the radiator off in our room and the window open, but it was still so hot, and I heard a few other people talking about how warm it was. We stayed in a family room with a connecting room for our seven-year-old for three nights. The hotel has a lovely decor and ambiance. The breakfast was excellent, and the breakfast staff in particular was extremely friendly and competent. All hotel employees were pleasant and said hello. The game room was an added delight. We loved it. Although the bathrooms were a little antiquated, they were really clean. The stay was good value for the money. Perfect location and scenery. We will come back.

I will absolutely return to the landowner hotel. For Christmas, I spent time at the Eastbourne landowners hotel. Since my last stay there, I had room 316, which was excellent. The room was nice and roomy, with views of the western lawns. A fantastic brand-new shower was offered in the bathroom. I found the new automatic tap in the sink to be rather inconvenient as we men need to shave because the sink is about half full of water. The personnel I encountered were all very kind and helpful. When I mention that I am of course including all the boys and girls we do not see, those who the hotel would not function at all smoothly without that. Numerous employees recognized me from prior visits. Mostly, I enjoyed my meals at the bar, and the food was excellent.
