The hotel/guest house is ideally situated in a quieter residential area, but still within easy reach of all amenities. The room was clean and bright, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom facilities good. The service was excellent, if perhaps a little slow, but that did not detract from my experience in any way. The breakfast was ample and well presented. The garden could be given some TLC to improve the outside seating area. I would happily stay here again.

A beautiful house with lots of original features. Room very clean and spacious. Host very welcoming and avery nice cooked breakfast. Would recomend to anyone thinking of staying in Bude.

Chose room for view and king size bed but climbing all those stairs was an issue for me as I have problems walking. Perhaps rooms should state what floor/level they are on. Bed comfy, shower ok. Weather was so hot with sun coming in through windows all day, it was a very uncomfortable sleep, even with their fan on. Breakfast was fantastic, one of the best iv had. Only negative thing I can say…. The garden needs attending to, it’s very over grown and you can barely walk the path with over grown plants blocking the way. Also stinging nettles on drive where my car was parked. Good location for beach with Summerleaze the best soft sand beach, the others are shingle beaches.

We had a fantastic overnight stay, the hotel does need some updating but was clean and comfortable and the owners were outstanding. A very warm and friendly welcome on arrival and the owners were so accommodating and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our family stay an outstanding success. Plus they served up a superb breakfast the following morning! We shall definitely be making a return visit

Het is een heel goeie locatie om daar te overnachten. Eigenlijk zou men extra personeel moeten aanwerven om de kamers proper te houden, iedere dag verse handdoeken. Daar kan ik gemakkelijk wifi-verbindingen ontvangen als men mails verstuurt. Het is een heel mooi guesthouse om daar te logeren en dit gebouw dateert rond 1903. Het onderhoud van kamers en handdoeken verversen en bedden opmaken, dat kon nog beter. Het koppel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik ben daar zeer hartelijk en goed ontvangen geweest. Zij hebben een gezin met ongeveer 4 kinderen waarin één zoon met een handicap. Het koppel kan niet alles doen. Eigenlijk zou men extra personeel moeten aanwerven om aan dagelijks onderhoud van kamers te doen. Dat zou voor de gasten heel aangenaam zijn dat zij iedere dag verse handdoeken krijgen en dat de bedden regelmatig moeten opgemaakt worden.

We had a fantastic time at this lovely guest house. The whole family are friendly and polite and welcomed us joining them for New Years Eve celebrations. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and the lounge and game room was fabulous for chilling out and having fun. The breakfast was delicious, hot and fresh and nothing was too much trouble. Paul and Leasa made us feel very much at home and we would love to stay here again. Oh and Crooklets beach just down the road had the most spectacular waves - just stunning.

On our arrival Paul was very welcoming, The house was warm and cosy and just had a warm friendly feel about it. Our room number 1 was spotlessly clean with some lovely touches. The bed was so big and comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was amazing the best poached eggs my husband has ever had and he's had a few !! Leasa is a lovely lady. They have only recently taken over this Hotel and we wish them all the best. Hopefully we will get to visit again. Thank You.

Loved our weekend at the bude haven from check in to check out Paul and Lisa made us feel very welcome and we’re great hosts. We felt very at home here and they were so friendly and nice it was like being away with family. The room was very clean and had everything you could need for your stay. The only niggle I would have is that please could you put a spare loo roll in the bathroom please. The breakfast was excellent and very genorous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back.
