Lovely hotel, we stayed here 5 years ago and said we'd return them. Once again didn't disappoint, the rooms were lovely and a few things to keep the kids occupied - tennis court, gardens and board games in the lounge area. 5he food is amazing - definitely recommend the Whitby Scampi and chocolate brownie xx

Excellent service and breakfast. Dinners here were always good but some years since I sampled them. Old fashioned friendly efficient service. The hotel is in the middle of the countryside accessed by minor roads which may not suit some people.

As a family of 4 we stayed here one night, from the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming. The hotel is very homely and the our room was spacious with great views of the countryside. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast and a drink by the open fire. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back should we be in the area again

We stayed here in something like 1998 before we were married and enjoyed it enormously then. The place is out in the sticks but was warm, friendly and inviting back then. We came back 25 years and three kids later for Valentines Day and I have to say it was an amazing stay. Staff are wonderful, friendly, attentive and smart. We had a fantastic evening meal and breakfast and sat with drinks next to a wood fire in a lovely bar area. Please egive this place a go if you want well appointed rooms and great traditional service and atmosphere. We won't wait another 25 years to come back. Loved it.

We had a really enjoyable one night stay at Burythorpe. It's in a beautiful, peaceful location in the countryside but easy enough to reach the wonderful market town of Malton. Our room was huge, and comfortable. One of the highlights was the warm and friendly service we received from everyone.

There's a wonderful place, I came to Hobart Hall for a wedding. The staff, in particular, were very welcoming and caring, and tracy made it special. Nothing was too much trouble, as was her kind, funny, and professional attitude. The last day I hadn't made breakfast, and Tracey inquired about that and would bring it to my room, which was really thoughtful. Unfortunately, I didn't feel prepared to eat due to the night's festivities. A truly lovely place, friendly service, and delectable breakfast. I'll undoubtedly return!.

I booked in the middle of the week and got a free upgrade to a simple room. Great stability, great view, only an uncomfortable mattress, time for new mattress, and drink in a cozy bar. Breakfast was very decent, with a very limited menu.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Today I went to afternoon tea, it was absolutely amazing. We were welcomed by a large tray laid out in front of an open fire, and we sat on very comfy sofas. The food was very good, with fresh home-made scones that were still warm. The hotel is in a lovely location, the staff is utterly amazing, even making my wife an old-fashioned hot chocolate as she does, drinking tea was never too much trouble for them. Thank you so much.

This place is fantastic. But when we come here for the second time, the experience is very disappointing. The room was excellent and really clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, and the service was excellent. I can't wait to come back again.

We adore this hotel. The hotel is lovely, the scenery is stunning, and the food is excellent. We visit twice or three times per year, and we adore it so much that we booked our wedding here for the following year. Everything is never too much difficulty for Alison and the rest of the staff. It's always a vip experience!.

Room was big and spacious. I was staying with my two grandchildren 13 and 11 and the sleeping arrangements for them were two mattresses on the floor. Room only was expensive but the stay served the purpose required.

Set in a beautiful rural location, where you observe lush green rolling hills. Super peaceful and the local area is very well kept. The hotel maintains lots of original property features. I felt so relaxed as the hotel was cosy, well equipped and the beds are really comfortable. I’d love to return in summer to play on the tennis court and sit outside.
