We had a wonderful stay at this grand hotel. A really well kept hotel with very attentive and helpful staff tending the needs of the guests and maintaining the hotel in tip top condition. The rooms were spacious and beds firm and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast has served in the main dining area. Gatehouse of Fleet is a short walk(or bicycle ride) away can be accessed via the stunning local forest paths.

We loved Cally Palace. We were there for just one snowy night and sunny morning in March 2023. The place is so beautiful & bursting with charm. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds and total black out curtains. Some reviews say this place is in need of an update but that would destroy its appeal for us. The pool and spa were brilliant. We made use of the pool table (which only takes old pound coins, but you get them from the bar), the snooker table, the surprise ping pong table on the 1st floor & the Steinway baby grand in the lobby (you’re probably not actually allowed to play this). We packed a lot in. All of this would be meaningless without the most helpful and friendly staff you could ask for. We were bowled over by how lovely everyone was, all ready to help in a second or even just have a chat. They even went the extra mile & allowed one of us to use a room after checkout time to do some work. We’ll always remember our 16 or so hours in this little paradise.

Brilliant short stay in this country house hotel which dates from the 18th century. Beautifully kept, expansive grounds that also include a golf course. Room was large and well appointed with a seating area and desk. Very comfortable, quiet, warm and very clean. Ensuite was a tiny bit dated but with a good shower and a separate bath. We enjoyed use of the indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a small but well equipped gym, which were free to access for guests and not too busy. Excellent breakfast choice and we also had dinner twice - both excellent. Outstanding service from the staff who were very friendly.

Can’t speak highly enough of this hotel. Lovely staff, 1st class food and lovely location. We were sorry to leave and my husband is taking his golf clubs next time. It’s in an ideal location for exploring that lovely south west corner of Scotland.
