We loved our stay at the Canal Cottages. Our cottage was a detached studio room with its own private bathroom. The cottages do sit behind the main establishment. You can get an uber or bolt from this location if you would like to go explore the area around you or need to head back to the airport like we did. We took an uber to Windsor Castle from the cottages and it was about 25 minutes away from the cottages. Public transportation available but it is about a 15 minute to 20 minute walk from the cottages. After exploring Windsor we came back to the cottage to eat at their onsite restaurant. You can dine in or eat on the patio looking over the canals. Our meal was very good. If you like to walk there are some roads or canal paths to explore around the establishment. The cottages do offer free WiFi and live entertainment at the restaurant depending on the day of the week you are there. We enjoyed our food and stay at the cottages and if we were in the area again, we would stay here.

I only stayed one night here on my way back to the states but it was lovely. The little canal out back was beautiful. The room was spacious with a huge bathtub. Checking in was a breeze and we were even given a small breakfast in our room for the morning (cereal, a croissant, tea). I’m not sure how walkable the area is since we didn’t walk but there did seem to be some shops on our drive in and out from there. We didn’t get to try the restaurant but from what I saw when walking to and from our room, it looked good. I’d definitely recommend if you need a nice place around the airport to stay. It was worth it.

Such a lovely family run business, very friendly and welcoming people. A beautiful riverside location that can imagine will be a perfect place for summer time. We will definitely be returning often as possible. The food absolutely delicious i had the mussels for starters, I couldn’t eat enough, my husband had the Lamb Shank and my daughter had the melt in your mouth Duck all 10/10 very clean and tidy environment. Dog friendly 2 thumbs up.

We booked the Honeymoon / Junior suite for 2 nights, it was lovely, just as the pictures showed. The view from the room was an uninterrupted view of the canal and was delightfully peaceful. You step straight out on to the edge of the canal and in to the garden of the pub, which is great to sit and enjoy the sun and passing barges, boats and wildlife. The food in the pub/ restaurant is very good and very reasonably priced. We happened to be there fore the hottest days of the year to date, so the lack of aircon was a bit of a shame, but the owners do go out of their way in setting up fans in rooms which are very welcome. Be mindful though, if you are booking for a Saturday night, the will be music playing loudly outside as the pub is a local hotspot, this does finish before midnight and you are warned by the owners in advance of your stay. We received and email regarding this and a follow up phone call.

I love their staff. We arrived late for our late check in (close to midnight) and they stayed later in order for us to not be homeless for the night. Even when we arrived late the employees Nigel and Lianne still stayed to help us with our bags and to get the extra bed ready. The room was clean and the area was beautiful. Although a bit isolated the area is very cute. The wood cottage is not used for alliterations but an exact description of the room, but with a modern twist. My friend and I loved this property will defiantly be stopping again when we travel.

We didnt realise our accommodation was going to be actually floating on the canal. Sometimes you could feel the movement of the water. Unfortunately you could also hear the residents of the two adjoining properties also moving about, using the bathroom etc. If you are a light sleeper, ear plugs would be a good idea. It had everything that we needed and we ate 2 nights at the adjoining pub, The WatersEdge, which was lovely. Very friendly staff. It was lovely watching the ducks, birds and the world go by. We walked around Little Britain Lake where there is lots of birdlife. Also just a 20min walk along the canal path to Tesco. Lovely calming area doesnt feel like central London. Only 15mins in a taxi to Heathrow airport (£23.80).

How anyone can give this place 1,2 or even 3 stars is beyond me. For the Price the quality is unbelievable, especially so close to an airport. I very rarely write reviews like this but I could not think of one bad thing. I drove down from the north and there was an accident and delay, arrived at 11pm lady on the phone very polite said not a problem. Showed me straight to the room and what a beautiful room it was. Bed Super Comfy, thick quilt and feather pillows. Good Shower with nice temperature and power Continental Breakfast hit the spot with Fresh milk in the fridge and some yogurts. Power sockets actually next to the bed and usable. This will be my first choice of hotel when I travel out of Heathrow now.

I like that breakfast has been prepared in the fridge and can just enjoy it in the room. The heater was very warm! The room pretty much has everything you need except a hairdryer. The greatest thing about staying there was the view! It was right in front of the canal, so beautiful and quiet in the night time! And lastly, it was very easy to park as well! Will definitely go back again!

Fantastic from the first phone call. I had to find somewhere at the very last minute. I was travelling from cornwall and finding somewhere that could check me in after 11 wasnt going to be easy unless i paid a stupid amout for a little room. I call these guys and said i wouldnt be there until after there final check in time and they was more than happy to wait for me. I arrived over a hour past closing and they was true to there word amd waited. The room was fantastic for the price. It was comfy and have snacks and drinks in the fridge. Asl had real milk. (Winner) I would definitely recommend this place and i will be going bk on every trip in future
