Very competent, help, and friend staff. Excellent location (ca. walking distance from the Cardiff central station). Also within (manageable) walking distance to the Cardiff Castle and the National Museum Cardiff.

Good location (within 10-min walk from the Cardiff train station; within 15-20 min walk to the Cardiff Castle). Whereas this is a budget hotel, it has a friendly, competent, resourceful, and responsive staff, which makes all the difference. There is no lift in this 3-story, modest construction. The equipment in the room and the private bathroom, both of which are clean, is basic but sufficient to me. The room includes an electronic kettle, which enables me to make my own coffee/tea. If you are not looking for a luxurious hotel room and plan to spend most of your daytime seeing Cardiff, I find this hotel a good option. With the money that I saved from this booking, I stayed for an extra day and could travel at ease, which is in and of itself a luxury.

I was looking for a place to stay overnight for a group of 3: at ~£27 each, this hotel was completely acceptable. LOCATION Less than 10 minutes to walk to Central station (and therefore the city centre), so that was all good. ROOM Basic yet spacious. The beds were comfortable enough. FACILITIES The ensuite was up to standard- same can be said for the shower. We had a telly and basic tea/coffee making facilities. FINAL COMMENTS Note to management: don’t spam people for reviews.

La ropa de cama estaba limpia, pero el resto de la habitación al ser de moqueta era poco agradable. No es un edificio viejo, pero por alguna razón está hecho todo de madera por dentro y se escucha el crepitar de los pasos en el pasillo de las habitaciones lo que hace incómodo el descanso, el baño por otro lado es un desastre está bastante destartalado

Attention! There was NO hot water during the whole of our stay! When I notified the hotel via a WhatsApp text, they told me that the boiler had broken down and they were going to fix it. When I spoke to the person at Reception, he said that a technician was going to come in the morning, but there was still no hot water. When I asked for compensation, I was told that they would get back to me, but they never did! Instead I kept on getting emails to rate my stay and/or to contact Costumer Service. When I tried the provided link, it had preset options and no option to write your own complaint. Completely user-unfriendly. Maybe it is deliberately programmed this way to avoid getting complaints.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable beds. Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival and a lovely gentleman carried my small suitcase up to my room for me. A 10 minute walk from Cardiff Town Centre. Cons: Mouldy and dirty shower which I did not use. It was very dated and needs a complete upgrade. Severely cracked plug socket next to one of the beds. Major safety hazard! Other double plug socket next to the other bed is faulty, only one side of the socket works. Room was very high up in the building and there is no lift. Stains on carpet. No bedside lamp, so it was either very bright or very dark. Next to a noisy road in a bit of a unclean area of town. Hot tap in bathroom was tempermental, didn't always work. Maybe the washers need to be replaced. Despite all of the above issues, me and my daughter did sleep comfortably but I wouldn't use this hotel again unless it was refurbished

staff were lovely and friendly. The property was hard to find as the name on expedia and name on google maps are different. The room smelt of cigarettes. The mattresses weren’t comfy and everytime you moved the springs made a noise. We booked a room with a double bed and were given a room with three single beds. The entire property needs some major updates, the bathroom sink and bath were brown and the floor looked a bit grubby.

The bathroom was scruffy. The fire alarm went off at 3am and it took the staff 40 minutes to deal with it. The kettle was burnt so the water wasn’t ok to make tea with. After a night of no sleep, I asked to leave my bag and they said there’s a charge of £5
