The place is wellorganized, the staff is friendly, and the location is amazing. The rooms are wellequipped. They offer breakfast for ps 3, which we didnt use, but it didnt look bad for the price. There are also events every day, so if you stay there for longer it is definitely fun. We only stayed two nights.

I highly recommend this hostel. The location is also perfect, less than 5 minutes from the castle and royal mile and only 15-20 minutes from the train station. The atmosphere is great, the staff are very friendly and the facilities are excellent. I stayed for 5 nights and had a really great time.

Such a wonderful and enjoyable place, especially for lone travelers. There are nightly activities that make it very easy to meet people, and there are many free amenities available such as free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pool table, games, lockers, and more. The beds are comfortable, and the lounges are fun and welcoming.

Everything we wanted and a little bit more. Each room has a fun theme, everything is safe and secure. They have luggage storage if you have a few hours between checkout and train. I wish we had more than two days so we could properly participate in the hostels hosted events. Also a beautiful view of the castle.

I stayed here during my first trip to hostels and was impressed. As a young female student, i felt safe and comfortable in this hostel. The price for amenities and activities you can participate in was insane. From the friendly staff, great view of the castle, to the great vibe, i want to go back to scotland just to stay here again. Asrama yang sangat indah. Staf yang ramah, kamar mandi bersih dan tempat tidur susun yang nyaman dan tenang. Mereka mengadakan acara hampir setiap malam dan ruang yang bagus untuk bersosialisasi. Tidak akan tinggal di tempat lain!

The location is very central with a stunning view of the castle and close to all of old town. The rooms were great, the hostel has a lovely friendly atmosphere with many events so if you are a solo traveler you will meet a lot of people and have a good time. You also get discounts at local businesses with your little orange card, which gives you an incentive to go around. I really enjoyed my 3 night stay there, met some amazing people and would not hesitate to return.

I wish i could have stayed longer i would definitely stay here again. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable and the showers and bathrooms were great. The location is great for sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are many stairs so be prepared if you have lots of luggage. They had great social events every day too! Thank you for a great stay!

I cannot recommend this place enough. Nice rooms in the city center for a great price. The staff is very friendly. Large shared spaces and clean bathrooms. Lots of things to do but also provides you with everything you need to explore the city on your own pace. Pablo is the goat.

The hostel is in a great central location. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is no lift or elevator, so you may have to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs. If you stay on the top floor, the view is amazing, the stairs are worth it!.

I spent five days at the castle rock hostel. The royal mile and Castle Rock share the same location. Numerous bars, restaurants, and stores are within easy strolling distance. I used the tram from the airport to the princes street stop. The hostel was about a minute to walk uphill. Different petroglyph lounges are located in the hostel, including a posh, groove, main, and internet lounge. Furthermore, there is a sizable kitchen and even a theater! As a solo female traveler, I always felt secure. The personnel were very kind. Although my allfemale dorm was tiny, it offered a beautiful view. I like the frequently served free coffee and tea. Staying in a real castle, especially on a pricey budget, was a wonderful experience! Overall, it was a great hostel visit!.

We stayed for two nights and loved the place! The location is very convenient, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the staff are friendly and the common rooms are nice and comfortable. There is a pool table and board games available, and evening activities such as pub crawl, movie night etc are organized. I would definitely recommend this place!.

The most popular hostel in edinburgh! Its conveniently located just below the castle. I stayed in a 10bed dorm, so it wasnt cramped. It was a large room with 10 beds. Although their 4bed dorm is cramped in the attic, there isnt much room to move around. Plus, there are 3 floors up! Their toilets and displays are common for all genders, but they are always clean. There is no elevator, so its best if you have a big bag to drag up the floors. Breakfast is for eur 3, you get a bread roll, fruit, and cereal bowl. Its only one serving. Coffee is as much as you want. A decent price for a quick eat.

My expectations were surpassed by the castle rock hostel in edinburgh. The staff is incredibly welcoming and creates a cozy atmosphere.
